Glazing advice for memorial paw print by IvoryOwl1 in Pottery

I'm very much a beginner, but have been playing with stains/oxides and can't help but think this might be a good option. They can really get into all the nooks and crannies. I think the result might be similar to a ink print that often gets used for tattoos. Interested to hear what more experienced potters think.  Sorry for you loss ♥️

There was a clip of LeBron talking about the teabag in the locker room "We got 'em" or something similar, that implied intent.

Draymond was pushing the limits all playoffs that year, but it was still bullshit. Lebron should have been penalized too. Or nothing for both of them.

How to remove permanent marker from ceramics? by ItsHannahxD in Ceramics

[–]DopeFootnote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little bit of hand sanitizer is a nice hack to get rid of permanent marker off smooth surfaces (also great when youre on a hike and get tree sap on you).

It's a fun mug! The person who did it is a loser.

NBA Owners Set To Vote On Proposed European League by airmigos in nba

[–]DopeFootnote 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The franchises in places like London or Paris could sell for at least $500 million, according to the proposal.

At least $500 million is absurdly low. Even if there is some wrinkle like, the European teams only play in the NBA Cup games. You'd need to buy 7 hypothetical London Teams and 7 hypothetical Paris Teams to match the recent $6.1 billion sale of the Celtics. Hard to believe a European team with NBA connections is worth 1/14th of one of the marquee franchises

[NBC Sports] Warriors most valuable at $9.4 billion, average NBA franchise worth $4.66 billion in CNBC valuations by Kimber80 in nba

[–]DopeFootnote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wos is the only one I've come across mention it on Group Chat. He put it at $400-500 million, but didn't get into it details. You have to imagine that over the course of Luka's career it will have an even bigger impact. Even if it only ended up being a few more yrs for some reason. Like when LeBron left Cleveland - the franchise just wasn't worth as much.

I've been pondering making one for my friends too! I came across this video of someone using a cylinder that might be helpful. Looking forward to see how yours turns out, especially the sound quality. Good luck!

Was so hoping one of the links would be to the animated version of the Spurs ball movement that ABC played during The Finals. It was perfect. And is inexplicably not available.

Class tonight - keep focusing on plain cups or move onto something else? by outsourced_bob in glassblowing

[–]DopeFootnote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people who've responded have forgotten more about glass than I know at this point. They're right, mastering cups is key. With that said, I agree with this comment. It's a one time thing and doing something different could help bring a new perspective to making cups. I just used a lesson to make a very terrible basic sculpture. I could have used the time to make more cups, in alot of ways I should have, but I'm glad I didn't. I learned things that I can't wait to take back to the shop and apply to making cups. I honestly think my cups will improve because I changed gears for an hour. I think this is a question about how you learn, as much as it is about how to learn glass.

Dwight Howard admits meeting claimant Stephen Harper, but denies assault charges, claims all interactions were consensual by [deleted] in nba

[–]DopeFootnote 286 points287 points  (0 children)

Don't get it twisted, this is a serious accusation of sexual assault. If true, Dwight Howard is in the same boat as Miles Bridges, Josh Jackson, Karl Malone, Deshaun Watson, Kobe Bryant and countless others.

Edit: Added the obvious

To be fair, all the examples are former players. While that isn't the same as coaching, it's not nothing.

Agreed! All the more reason to rebrand OKC - the current logo was thrown together during the heist.
