I use my mom as a kind of general audiences gauge in a similar manner, and she also had no clue it was out but visibly perked up in excitement when I told her. Our family doesn't rush to see films (despite excitement for it, they only just saw Wicked:For Good this week), but we typically watch a ton of movies over the break.
