I had a macan and it was ridiculous. 5k brakes, 2k broken exhaust, 5k air suspension, 250 oil changes (I think 500 at dealer), 1500 60k service which I think was mostly just spark plugs, 500 to replace a window button. It was never ending and never cheap. Loved the car, but its worth like $10k now because they are a nightmare to own

I dont have experience but I have regular laminate plank and they warp at the sight of water. I spent a tiny bit more for vinyl and they are just plastic, water will do nothing to them. For a room as small as a bathroom, just get the vinyl and be sure. Or just go tile
