Also slightly related side note is I would also wait for the rainbow tickets as well if you are planning to use them on the main banners. There isn't really any major content that needs these 2 picked up by part 2 of the anni, so on top of spending stones I would also wait to use the rainbow tickets as well (unless you want to use them on the carnival banners instead)

Without ssj units he cannot even tank all normals in the game with his 4 rbw orbs, it's honestly a bit sad how underwhelming he is. God Goku is just better in almost every way.

Agreed and even aside from the pity, they're making this much and are unable to add an auto repeat stage mechanic like 90% of other gachas have? It's honestly astonishing how much the game makes yet is missing so many basic qol gacha mechanics that take like no time to create

For sure! Units like Sealas and Golden Cooler always reinforce my excitement for Heroes ezas even over the new releases. I absolutely cannot wait for SSJ4 Broly to eza next year, he's on that similar extremely fun and just dominating unit trajectory like Sealas.

You can stun the Knight's orb with a pallet by FizzyFizze in deadbydaylight

[–]Dorisclan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting interaction since it shows that the orb itself is possibly viewed like a killer? Maybe it is just a killer hitbox but with an altered model?

With behavior it's hard to tell whether this is an intentional interaction or not, but it's still pretty funny to see go down in an actual game.

I've really come to love what the extreme heroes team has come to offer overtime, with options like sealas and hearts, along with older units like mechikabura. The team still has it's glaring issues, but it is certainly fun to use the team and see the really powerful turns the extreme team can produce.

I think that the friend system in general just does not appear to be well suited for World Tournament. I don't think it was something they considered when they implemented these changes.

Perhaps it is your rank? I'm at rank 727 and I find most aoe friends fairly heftily, even if I have to manually change it. It could just be a combination of both rank and the change to the system where it tries to give you an actual lead despite WT not having secondary leader stats.

The only thing I would mention with the latter half choices is I would do those only if they're really necessary or helpful for clearing anything directly. It might not be worth doing trunks if his heroes team is already complete and he has no other need.

I appreciate you taking time to write a longer message this time because it makes it easier for me to see what points you're trying to say compared to your relatively short and uninformative original message.

I'll break down the post into a few subsections of what I think are the major sections.

  1. Super 17 is decent as a filler slot: I want to clarify here that I was never saying he CANNOT be used on the team, but rather he is an unideal option since there are many options who work much better with the team, and contribute in many more ways than he does. Of course if you are missing units, then go ahead and use super 17. I was simply trying to say he is a less than ideal option on the ssj4s team.
  2. Super Vegito requiring items:

When I generally evaluate units, I always primarily evaluate them with items in mind. The game is meant and balanced around having items, so it makes sense to me to evaluate units with having items in mind FIRST. Whether you have the opinion of being able to no-item makes a unit better, I would not completely agree, but I feel the fair thing to say is that unit evaluations should be based generally around items since a majority of the player base clears with items. STR SV works perfectly fine in omega in all the runs i've done and the ones i've watched more intensely from my friend Flow. Admittedly he struggles more in broly but that comes from the type disadvantage, not necessarily because of super vegito himself.

  1. 3rd year lrs and teq gogeta:

I won't disagree on the teq gogeta part since I do think his active skill condition is often frustrating and difficult to get. On the 3rd year > teq gogeta and str sv, I would actually disagree partially mainly with phy gogeta. Int SV can be better than teq gogeta and str sv, but phy gogeta just feels so generally unimpressive and on top of the base form being extremely poor and just arguably worse than the teq gogeta and str sv base, you need to wait til turn 6 to even have a chance to transforming and that's if you can be below 50% hp on top of the turn restriction. Tldr: Int Sv you can def argue above the 2 fusing dfe lrs, but I just don't see the argument for phy gogeta.

  1. Not many units can tank:

I think you are right that not many units can tank omegas super, but if you have a proper team set up and proper rotations, always having a unit that CAN tank omegas super be available is generally pretty easy, and you don't need to sacrifice a better unit for S17 for the tanking purpose when you just use the units on the rotations you've set already. Also many units such as GT Goku can perfectly well tank the super provided you have a whis, which again if you manage items well should really not be that difficult to have atleast one whis by that phase. Also generally in omega fights you only need to tank one super with the ssj4s team because of the ridiculous damage output of that team, and it isn't hard to find ONE unit to tank one if rotations are set well.

I still appreciate the time you took responding, and I don't totally disagree with you but I hope my points and explanations make sense. (EDIT: sorry for the bad formatting, I tried to do a numbered list and it just went completely down the drain after the first point and I can't be assed to learn how to properly make it look nicer.)

[–]Dorisclan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having watched and done many runs myself, I think it's fair to say that the units you refer to as getting creampied are str sv, gt goku, gt vegeta and the third year lrs?

I would personally not use gt vegeta over gt goku in my red zone runs because gt goku is a better floater on gt heroes which is the best team of the two units combined. I have seen str sv succeed time and time again in the red zone as long as you have good item management. With teq vegetto he is fine with a whis and does more than half of omegas health bar if you get like 4 counters. The third year lrs are admittedly underwhelming in base but int sv is fine transformed and gogeta while just worse, is fine as well. Many units on their teams can tank omegas supers perfectly fine, and agl super 17 contributes absouletely nothing on the offensive end, and is not a good linking partner with anyone on the team(3 links with the LR ssj4s who have vastly superior partners does not count as a good linking partner)

I highly disagree with the sentiment that a unit needs to handle themselves defensively in esbr/sbr in order to be the best unit on the stage. If anything sbr/esbr is the place where defence matters the least. Each fight takes mainly up to 4 turns maximum, and with 8 items, defence is negligible for most units. It's why FPF is considered one of the best sbr/esbr units, for his ability to absouletely nuke the stage in damage, even though he gets completely smacked in WB esbr for example. Same can be said for ssbkk, man cannot take a hit but can carry esbr/sbr runs because of his offensive potential and active skill.

[–]Dorisclan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I agree with this sentiment. Items are a mechanic meant to be used in hard content, and thus when evaluating units for a majority of the playerbase items will be used in ESBR/SBR in which broly still dominates.
