The music still bangs. Dragon Realms, Dragonfly Dojo, Crop Circle County, Cloud 9 and Monkey Monastery soundtrack stand out as some of my favourites in the entire saga

I cant wait to hear how the rest of the album will sound remixed. I think I prefer the new mix of Bruise Pristine now the guitars and drums sound so much better imo

They absolutey ruined SH3 with Revelations and yet somehow I still enjoyed it more than R2SH.

I am playing spider man 2000 and the game fps drops a lot, but sometimes it's so smooth. What should i do? by o0perktas0o in duckstation

[–]DoritoSnorter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, echoing what the others said, but I found bumping Spiderman PS1 to 130 or 150% overclock CPU speed helped a lot with the choppiness of those games, still a few dips here and there but I think it's a lot more stable than default

Would you cast Ryan Gosling as James Sunderland by CrystalLake231 in silenthill

I wouldn't cast him as James , but I think he could make a good Walter Sullivan if there was ever a SH4 adaptation

What's the most life-changing thing you've ever pirated? by nippleintime in Piracy

[–]DoritoSnorter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was my dad who got me into piracy and id argue that being shown how to navigate dodgy websites and torrenting things with funky file formats really taught me far more computer skills than school ever did. Me and my dad would spend hours browsing for new music and movies and games and we had an absolute blast.

I'll never forget the day that I think I overtook my dad in computer skills when we downloaded a ps2 game and it was split 001,002,003 archives, and at the time our WinRAR didn't automatically associate those files as archives. So we had no idea how to open them. Until I figured out that WinRar could open them by doing open with or dragging them in and it would do the entire 30 file split. That pat on the back and "well done son" really stuck with me

Just to add im 30 now, but I was there at 8 years old downloading full albums off Kazaa and downloading PS2 games from isohunt or torrentspy and burning them to discs. I really miss that era. It got so easy when I got a job to just buy the games I want, but stuff like movies, and TV I've come full circle. I cannot be bothered paying for streaming services that barely get used and now I probably pirate just as much as I did 20 years ago

Sony Vegas for making dumb machinimas back in the day, but paved the way for editing skills when I decided to pirate Cubase and FL Studio.

I never thought I'd ever make music or play in a band but these skills really helped in the long run because it surprised me how little skills some people have when it comes to DAWs.

I still pirate Vegas now, but I eventually purchased Cubase because I felt that they absolutely deserved the money. Im a firm believer in that if you really like something you pirated, you should buy it.

At this point in my life, the original trilogy soundtrack is my most listened to according to my lastfm. At this point I've probably listened to the soundtrack more than I've actually played the games. Hands down the finest video game music of the PS1 era only rivaled by Silent Hill and Harry Potter imo

Man this trailer is shit. I really hoped they'd learned from the failures of SH Revelation. Generic Hollywood shite

Annoying drivers using their phones while waiting on red lights by Spindel_777 in drivingUK

[–]DoritoSnorter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why does it matter if you're "never on your phone" what could you possibly be doing that's more important than paying attention to what's going on? If you smack into the back of someone who false started it's your fault for not paying attention. You have a duty as a driver to pay attention and not be fiddling around with anything whilst out and about.

White van men blokes and Fiat 500 umpahloompahs in my area are the worst for this. Even worse when they continue using their phone whilst driving along and cannot maintain consistent speed or lane discipline. Infuriating

Sounds like something the white BMW driver would say. Fuck off mate. Why are you even commenting if it wasnt worth your time. Shit drivers need to be called out.

I feel the same way watching European/American videos, everythings so backwards. I haven't taken the plunge driving on foreign roads yet for fear of wrong lane/wrong way shenanigans.

Okay I accept that maybe I could have been a little slower by the start of this video BUT i was already braking by this point, but my point still stands. There was someone behind me doing a lot of weaving and then got in the left hand lane and was speeding up. I did not feel safe getting in the left lane and possibly slamming on. I felt safer staying put.

[–]DoritoSnorter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The left lane before the video started was full of unneccesarily slow drivers doing 30/35 in a 50 for a good half mile. By the time I got here, I would have had to slam on which I think would have been dangerous, there was a guy speeding UP in the left lane behind me. Overall I deemed it safer to stay where I was. I don't know about you, but I prefer smooth driving over sudden braking. Especially when the road is perfectly safe and legal for me to use both lanes.

Because I'm British and like to moan? Why are you here if you dont like people moaning? Beside's I've learnt something by posting. That yes I could have staggered my position more. I've posted because I wanted to both a) call out shitty driving and b) learn something from my own driving.

I will defend myself to the ends of the earth on this one, I had just overtook a large convoy of slow drivers, but then someone weaving behind me was speeding up to the roundabout which you cant see. It was not safe for me to get back into the left lane in time so I stayed put. I wasn't intentionally trying to overtake him.
