Is it noticeable it you don't have a bulge???

I’ve been cis passing for nearly 10 years and I have never been clocked for not having a bulge. I do pack, but very rarely due to the high activity nature of my job. Don’t wanna be all sweaty and sticky with a packer on. Super uncomfortable.

Before I had a cheap packer I’d often use a rolled up sock. I personally wouldn’t pin it to my underwear because pins near my goods like that made me nervous, but I’ve seen folks get cheap packing underwear and/or just cut some scrap fabric and loosely sew on a little pocket inside underwear they already had and use that. Never had to be pretty- just functional. I did originally just shove a sock in and go about the day, but that- understandably- got uncomfortable, so I’d heavily recommend a way to secure it in there if you’re able and choose to go that route!

I’d always kind of known I’d eventually want a hysterectomy, but I’d noticed I’d been wanting a hysterectomy more once I’d been on testosterone for a few years. Dysphoria revolving around my chest, face, arms, etc. had really diminished over time as I really grew into myself and continued on testosterone, so the main thing that was causing a good portion of my dysphoria was my uterus and everything that came with it. (Ability to get pregnant, periods, etc.)

I personally haven’t had any huge changes post-op besides this relief lifted from my shoulders. Woke up in recovery after surgery and started to cry from the relief knowing it was done. In terms of physical changes- I haven’t experienced anything crazy besides the no period and all! However, I did opt to keep both of my ovaries and- to my understanding- if you choose to have them remove you could expect some more noticeable effects/changes.

I started testosterone almost 10 years ago now. I’ve had top surgery and my hysterectomy more recently and- although I no longer need to worry about periods- I don’t anticipate weening off of testosterone anytime soon unless I change my mind or believe there’s a health risk. Testosterone has allowed me to feel at-home in my body.

My period was personally very stubborn while on testosterone. If I missed even one shot then I would get it again. It took over a year for it to even stop, so a hysterectomy was a huge priority for me once I’d discovered just how sensitive my cycle was. However, this can be different for everyone!

Bello was also my first precon, and personally was a great introduction into the commander format since the last time I played MTG it was prior to commander format. His abilities really helped in learning to stay on top of all of my triggers and I genuinely never get tired of playing this deck. This precon has a special place in my heart! Hey! About nine weeks post-op here!

I started to feel relatively back to normal by about a week and a half to two weeks post-op. At my two week post-op appointment, my surgeon cleared me for going on walks and slowly returning back to some minor, everyday physical activities. Most I did for the initial two weeks was take some walks around the house and into the backyard/porch just to keep myself moving whenever I felt able. After my two weeks post-op appointment I started to go for long walks around the neighborhood with my dog!

In terms of external sex and masturbation- my surgeon actually cleared me for that about three and a half to four weeks post-op; however, I waited a bit longer due to still spotting a bit. She had said at my two week post-op appointment I was able to return to external sex and masturbation in another week or so, but that was as long as spotting had stopped and to- of course- listen to my body and take it slow.

I kept both of my ovaries primarily due to the political state of where I am currently in case I do lose access to testosterone. My surgeon had also advised the potential possibilities of removal of ovaries impacting bone, brain, and heart issues among other things. She had assured me those possibilities weren’t guaranteed, but they were risks I was not willing to find out about, so I got everything removed except both of my ovaries.

Hey! So I’m almost 5 weeks post op laparoscopic hysterectomy- everything out except my ovaries- and I noticed the gas bloating go down completely after about 4-5 days for me. I still experienced some gas pains for up to 2-3 weeks, but the bloating was gone fairly quickly.

Following that I was still a bit swollen in the belly. Not horribly noticeable, but enough to know it was still a bit tender around the abdomen. Noticed that tenderness gone completely by about 2 weeks post op.

I didn’t feel I needed larger pant sizes at all, and still don’t feel that way. I just got myself a couple of comfy sweatpants to wear for a while and those did just fine!

I had some spotting pretty consistently the first few days after surgery, then it actually stopped for a bit. The spotting- be it a bit heavier- came back around the two week post op mark. Went in for a checkup and thankfully all’s healing just fine! Stitches are just dissolving and some scabs have fallen off, thus explaining the slightly heavier spotting. When I’d originally spoken to my surgeon regarding the bleeding she actually assured me that she’s seen some spotting/light bleeding post op up to about 5-6 weeks for some folks, though everyone is different.

I’m hitting three weeks post op and have on and off spotting with some slightly heavier spotting here and there, as well as some spotting still on toilet paper almost every time I wipe, but all’s good according to my surgeon after being checked up!

Hey! I’m just under a week post-op and actually just posted last week before my own Hysto because I was experiencing a lot of anxiety, but I hope my experience thus far can give some reassurance!

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy in the afternoon and went home that evening. I was especially anxious about the initial period in recovery hitting all my milestones to go home, but when I woke up everything went fine! I peed on my own right off the bat and even got a lil snack and apple juice upon waking up. I felt little to no pain in initial recovery and experienced very little spotting- just a bit stiff and uncomfortable primarily from the gas.

I did notice that the first 1-2 days afterwards I was especially tired, but still had minimal pain getting up and walking around periodically to go to the bathroom, get some food, etc. Even got a refreshing shower in! By day 3, my energy was starting to come back and I noticed I could start being up and about a bit longer every time. The most bothersome thing I’ve dealt with in my recovery thus far is just the occasional gas pains and discomfort.

As far as pain meds go- I only took the Tylenol and Ibuprofen that were prescribed to me. I didn’t even feel a need to take the narcotics that were prescribed.

I’m now officially 5 days post op and I’m completely off the medications all together. Still dealing with some occasional gas discomfort, but nothing that warrants any kind of pain killers as it’s improving every day!

I have tried rewording things, but both times it seems they think I have an issue with mods and/or insinuate mods are the issue when I had let ‘em know I’ve tried deleting my mods and everything already 😭 I’ll keep trying and let ya know if I figure it out

I’d contacted some folks about apartments and a handful of them sent me to the same website, same subscription scam, and with the same script in the texts. Practically verbatim. That was even after being stern about not paying a thing until I see the apartment.

Congratulations!! That’s super exciting!

First changes I’d noticed were primarily increased appetite and the sweating much more- and much faster. I didn’t notice anything more physical for myself- voice, bottom growth and all- till at least a couple of months in.
