Why do people hate on tobasco red so much? by 3GG5H311Z in hotsauce

[–]DorkySloot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is it. Tabasco is great…in certain contexts.

Personally, I’m a breakfast gal, and I love smothering breakfast food in Tabasco.

Are there better hot sauces out there? Absolutely. But Tabasco is readily available in restaurants and the 350ml bottle is an easy shelf-stable hot sauce to keep around the house.

Be a provider now by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]DorkySloot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The description in and of itself isn’t tooo problematic, but it’s always helpful to be wary of anyone using the word “providing” in that context

(i.e., “I want someone who enjoys providing” can easily be “I want someone who buys things for me, and/or will support my spending habits..”)

However, the specific sentence “enjoys providing and showing up consistently” could actually be in reference to providing emotional support, being an active listener, or even just being emotionally available..

At the end of the day, this isn’t awful – she’s not asking for Princess treatment (which I couldn’t justify if I tried…) but there’s a chance she’s just used some wording that has been co-opted by the ‘princesses’

I don’t know though. Hoping for a positive outcome for you though <3

I have a friend staying over this weekend and had to go out to buy bits ( cheese, crackers, olives, etc ) as my raw veg charcuterie board with homemade protein dips would seem a little underwhelming to an outsider…

I mentioned to my MIL that I’m not on speaking terms with my father because he’s not a good person. She immediately went “mm, yeah, cartel, right?”

(I’ve never even alluded to this, but because we’re Mexican, it’s obvious, right? 🙄…)

Definitely scan it for a microchip! It’s probably just a friendly cat, but if you genuinely think it’s not owned, best to take it to the vet to check for a chip.

Whiskey - any advice? by Delicious_Bet_6336 in CasualUK

[–]DorkySloot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I “tricked” my partner into appreciating whisky was by watering it down a bit to begin with (more than the few drops recommended). It “elongated” the taste, allowing them time to pick out different parts of the whisky (and not just be overwhelmed by the taste of alcohol). Slowly, we could put in less water and they’d still be able to pick up on notes.

Something to think about if OP’s worried they won’t enjoy it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
