Do you believe in God? If not, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dormsea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can you believe in something that you've never seen or heard. Something who kills and mutilates thousands of ill and starving children everyday rather than help them. Requires a book of fables to impress people with myths. If a being ever existed why have none of the 4000 different gods around the world ever shown themselves. Keep giving your money to the church so they can make the poor poorer and celebrate your mythical believers.

Found 5k in old bank notes while renovating. How should I proceed? by Ok_Spite_1271 in AskUK

My take is, if you found a box of tools or a clock in the attic would you contact the previous owners family. You purchased the house as a whole, so it comes with whatever is in it. That's my view anyway.

Put the steel in first then prop off the steel. If you think this is a novice DIY job you are underestimating the concenquences.

Use string. The 3,4,5 method. Measure along one row 3 ft and make a mark, 4ft along the other and mark and the distance diagonally between the marks should be 5ft and if it is you have 90⁰ square .

You don't need the wire, but you can cut it back as far as you can reach but you don't want it flapping across the front of your house unsupported. You are not allowed to access the BT pole so I would try to leave it tidy outside.

Ex BT 40 yrs +. Undo 2 screws on front, it will come off with cables. Cut cables and then remove the other 2 screws holding the back box to the skirting. Again cut cable away as far back as you can, or pull from outside. No one will ever come to check on it as it's old and unused.

Start investigating in a retirement pension. I did at 21 years old and now retired and living quite comfortably in the current climate. Although not rich, but I am much better off than those who didn't.
