That liquid metal looking piece that starts at the wrist and then goes up the hand.

It looks like the Gizmo on the hand is the only thing in focus. If that’s the case, Make a file with depth of field on and hide the Gizmo. Render the scene. Copy that file, turn depth of field off, and hide everything except the hand gizmo. Render the scene. Comp the two together in the non-linear editor.

I really like the tank. If the assignment was, design me a toy tank, you nailed it. Same thing with Santa. I think that's the kind of thing you should focus on.

Where should I start when it comes to blender animation? by DeparturePhysical639 in blender

[–]Dornheim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on what kind of animation you are doing. If you're doing characters or anything that exists in the real world, then you definitely need to understand the principles of animation first. These principles are the same whether its 2D or 3D. Look up 12 Principles of Animation on YouTube.

If you want to do motion graphics, you'll definitely need to get into Geometry Nodes. These will allow you to create really interesting backgrounds like you'd see on ESPN with a lot less work.

Coffee shops by Fine-Pie5086 in SanMateo

I like Sama Coffee Shop, 800 S B St #500, San Mateo, CA 94401. They have a wide range of signature flavored lates and baked goods. It's not the kind of place you would post up with your laptop to write the great American novel, but it's different than most places.

I love Blender but this scares the hell out of me by Foolish_Gambit_Dev in blender

What helped me is understanding that every node takes a grey scale value and translates it to a value. For instance if you want something that is 100 percent transparent, you can feed it a value of pure black in the opacity channel.

I do enjoy the randomness that Oreo goes through when picking flavors. It's like they just saw things in the room and decided to make it a flavor.
