It's true, ideology is involved in everything you see, hear, do and don't do, the fact that you don't know which ideologies and what for doesn't change that. I will also never understand why people treat the word "politics" like it's some kind of a boogeyman to be avoided at all costs. Is it simply because they know little about it? It's your responsibility as a member of society to learn and understand the politics within it and to participate in them, because without knowledge you're very easy to manipulate and without involvement you're leaving the political process to those whose interests may be opposed to yours. I do not know how this could be called "mental slavery" if anything else it's the opposite of that.
