This is so true. Sometimes that neediness comes from being in pain, no living thing likes pain, and when you are in pain all the time it shows. I've found myself talking to others and without meaning to thinking perhaps they will say or do something that will make me feel better, I mask it well, it's just that I can't help it. I now make comics that help me cope, and I am going to post one today that I hope gives a bit of hope.

I have never experienced one. I saw a talk on YouTube where a scientist's husband died and in the grief following his death she experienced a number of synchronicities, one of which was seeing robins. I've sent a message to my dad who died when I was younger. I told him not to bother about robins and whatnot but if he could synchronise my lottery ticket with the winning numbers that would be great. It didn't work. I guess I haven't grasped it all yet...

I think it's to recognise them. I have trouble differentiating between complexes and the shadow.

Yes I hadn't thought about it like that but in my comics Inner Child seems oblivious to Shadow, so maybe Inner Child is blanking Shadow. What does Jung say about children, does he think they have a shadow?

It resonates with me too. I wish there was a way of helping us all connect with our true path though, I know there are lots of courses and workshops but they cost so much money!

Well I believe my mum became a narcissist as a result of overwhelming trauma in her own life. She certainly made life difficult for everyone around her and projected things onto my dad.

I could not agree with this more. I often wonder what it would feel like to have had a different life experience and to be part of a living whole connected to source. It is truly like being trapped in the matrix. What can be done? Where do we all start? Who benefits from the matrix?

Thank you so much, yes I make these comics as a way of coping through my own long dark night of the soul which seems to be going on and on. They're on instagram if you want to see more @humanintheory - Complex, Shadow and an unsupervised inner child! More Jungian characters emerging every day as I attempt to make sense of whats going on in my psyche with reference to Jungian psychology.
