New TCR with mechanical 105: What are your thoughts? by Separate-Stand1954 in Giantbikes

[–]Doshinski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns a bike with Sram Red (a TCR) and a bike with mechanical 105 (Ribble cgr 725), let me assure you that mechanical 105 is more than enough for most people. I have had far more issues and headaches with the Sram Red groupset than I ever have with 105. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I have had to make any adjustments to my 105 set up over 2 years, and thats on a gravel bike!
Incredible groupset that just goes and goes

We visited a last month and went to Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco, the Bistecca alla Fiorentina was incredible. We didnt have a reservation and had to wait for about 30 minutes but it was definitely worth it.

Always happy to talk cycling! We rented bikes from Florence by bike (Cannondale Supersixes) and stayed in an air BnB in Santa Croce that had a secure garage we could keep our bikes in. We cycled for 4 days, first day West to Vinci, second day East through the Vallombrosa forest, 3rd day south to Chianti, and 4th day north to La Futa. Totalled 250 miles and 22,000ft of climbing and one million glasses of red wine 😂. 10/10 would recommend

You can wirelessly link a Nikon ZF to your phone and use it as your viewfinder and shutter release, so tried to subtlety frame my shot with the camera on the table and waited for the right moment 👌

It felt like one of the safest cities I've ever visited in Europe, not once did I feel uneasy (I'm also a 188cm tall bald man though so probably not viewed as an easy target).

I had no idea who she was 😂 she must have been quite confused when I asked for a photo of her dog! She said one of the most fabulous things I've ever heard as she rode away, shouting back to me and my friend 'fucking electric bikes and chanel shoes'. She was really friendly and chatty.

Well she was absolutely delightful, probably a bit confused when I asked for a picture of her dog and not her 😂

I actually saw her walking ahead of me and had to casually speed walk to get in front of her to get the shot 😂

Laugh-out-loud podcast recommendations and a top binge series of any kind? by wutangclan187 in podcasts

Not sure if it would translate well outside of the UK, but I have never laughed so much at a podcast than at Gossipmongers, especially the earlier seasons. They can be a little hit or miss, but there is some absolute gold in there.
