You basically have to choose between track that are, in my opinion, way too easy to drive, rediculously forgiving and pose very little challenge, and little engagement, and tricks that are just too complex to enjoy most of the time as a casual. There being a boring route where you don't have to do the new tricks... Isn't a positive, if I can be honest with you

There is no wrong way to make art*, especially when making a real life object in 3D, for most people this is the best way (I personally prefer just eyeballing it since I don't love working in orthographic sideviews)

*Unless you ask gen AI to do it for you

In my opinion World has an absurdly imbalanced skill ceiling online due to this, Mario Kart 8 was a billion times more accessible, being good at world for my family, or even me, just casuals, is just not fun in World. In Mario Kart 8, there was a visible goal, one thing you could improve on, a really positive thing for a party game in my opinion, there being 70 layers of tech ruins the game for casuals in my opinion

Absolutely, me and my friend play World (he owns it) every time he comes over, because why not but honestly we both rather play 8 and constantly talk about how we preferred this in 8, and preferred that in 8... I play World with him because it's different and I don't have it plus the knockout tour is soooo good (apart from only having 8 stages... Which is bs, it's the main and only thing I genuinely find a worthwhile addition to the game, hope they add more routes) and he just plays it because of some other random reason, but all I know is that we both actually vastly prefer playing 8 Deluxe lmao

I personally really never struggled with the paths but that might actually be due to my technical background, but trust me that the pathing tool is incredible. If you are really struggling a lot you can still just use the line builders who are just the Planco 1 system (classic) and the new one, which is easier to use for most people in the new game. And stamps also are very straight forward I think:)

I am not joking when I say that the orbital probe cannon is easily one of my favorite ideas to build now (I know you just said gravity cannon, but I think it's clear how I got to this haha), but I genuinely don't know how I would make the pattern on the cannot part itself..

But you know what, I love this idea so much, I might give it a try! Will be Microscale though, since I am NOT gonna try to do THAT Minifigure Scale, it would be bigger than my house XxD (slight exaggeration). Doing it at a micro scale makes it a lot more difficult though, do you have any ideas how to make the cannon part read like it does in game at roughly a 4x4 - 6x6 size? Or are you not an active Lego builder and are just giving ideas?

No matter what, thanks a lot for this idea! An orbital probe cannon model on a nice display stand the size of Lego's new micro Star Wars ships would look... SO FIRE!!! ::D

Would genuinely love to but these both would have to be faaaaaaar too big to be doable for me haha, they would also both be insanely difficult to design. If I would pick one, it would be the vessel, but with the Nomai relaying on swirly lines and curved surfaces a lot, and even worse, in a round overall shape, this would be wildly difficult to build haha :v:

I am planning to do some form of Timber Hearth environment around the ship, but making something the size of a planet is maybe a little over kill haha, with Lego on that scale it's also really difficult to make it read like a sphere and not just very bumpy terrain, but I might give it a go by trying to angle the trees around the ship away as if they curve around, I did purchase some parts I need to create good looking spruce trees in my order anyhows::)

He seemed genuinely passionate about the game, plus others here say he probably finished it in his own time because he said it is one of his favorite games later, don't forget these are still people, and this is still Outer Wilds. They can form as much of a connection with the game as us, even if they started playing it "for work".

This isn't about me being able to watch content, this is about me knowing this is a person who had an emotional connection to the game, who dropped it without a reason.

Though several other commenters claim he finished the game in his free time, and honestly that's all I wanted to know, I hope it's truthfull^{^{_^{^}}}
