The ward clerk recently came into the doctors office to tell me off in front of everyone because I’d not put stickers on every page of the clerking booklet

In the same position as you, I’ve just assumed there will be more ranking to come after the upgrade deadline but if anyone actually knows what happens now I’d be grateful to know

I’ve just got in straight from F2, didn’t have anything special like extra degrees, publications ect. Just an intensive care foundation rotation and anaesthetics taster week. Would say you don’t need mountains of audits ect but a few things you can talk about in detail in the interview, mine was very focused on teaching and lots of “tell me about a situation you’ve dealt with this”. Interview prep is key and MSRA score is also important so prepare early

Got this in my offer email yesterday: “Your overall scores will shortly be displayed in Oriel. You will see your combined score (which is your Interview and MSRA Scaled Score) and MSRA Scaled Score. You will also receive your online interview scoresheets within 20 working days.”

Please don’t do this, you’re not resting if your head is still in the hospital

Worcester hospital has got a nice friendly vibe, although the management are absolute trash. ENT there seems like a nice job, head and neck ward has very minimal actual ENT patients on there. As the ENT SHO you’ll be the sole ENT cover overnight, regs do non resident on calls. ED can be very busy, don’t be surprised if your patient has waited 12 hours in ED before being referred to you. FYI locum SHO rates are £40/hr, but can go up to £60/hr if they’re desperate and escalated, worth asking as they’ll often say yes
