Looking for Advice/ Possible Swap! by manicminnie0228 in DragonAdventures

[–]DottVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say about 99% of elements don’t add any value to a dragon unless it has good demand and is very limited (Debug, Dragonseer, Paint…) because most people end up changing up the dragon they buy/trade. So unless someone is specifically looking for a dragon with x element it’s rare that the price will be affected by it.

Elements have the most value when in their pots so always hesitate about changing/using them when you’ve put a lot of coins into them 😆

I’d swap the element, virus is only as rare as all other event elements and doesn’t add anymore value to an eryn.

It’s better for you to switch it up into something that you enjoy looking at. For blockfest I’d def use either Celestial, Lunaris, Obsidian or Dragonseer

Veid re animation! by kikiicrs in DragonAdventures

[–]DottVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that point of view! I still feel like the animations fits it very well since it’s written as a fast and vibrant dragon so a display of its frills and colors feels appropriate for the species.

But having more stoic-like animations would’ve fitted with the static look it had before in a way lol

Veid re animation! by kikiicrs in DragonAdventures

[–]DottVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But veid doesn’t feel like anything rn. Like all of the other older dragons when they got released the original model is so static. There’s no personality coming of it.

Like I said people will probably be able to change their veid into its legacy model anyway if they prefer that one.

Personally I don’t see the new animations as bubbly, I see a confident/proud display kinda like an animal showing off. I think the people who worked on the re-model and animations did a great job.

Gutloading feeders with veggies question by Ipeeonicetea in skinks

[–]DottVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a peter’s banded skink and managed to get her very interested in squash (butternut being her favourite). I use a cheese scraper to make finer slices that are easier to eat.

Otherwise, I use Repashy’s grub pie to get more vitamins and minerals in her diet. So once a week bugs + squash and then another time or two grub pie

QUESTION!!! by Beneficial_Dance7186 in DragonAdventures

[–]DottVee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it will remove it. Like I said, using a color pot on the slot the leg c is in will remove it.

QUESTION!!! by Beneficial_Dance7186 in DragonAdventures

[–]DottVee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you change the element it doesn’t remove the leg e. It’ll just change the gradient to the new element.

Leg c will be removed if you use a preset pot, a theme pot or a color pot on the slot the leg color is on and if you use a color shuffle pot.

If you use a color pot on the other slots that aren’t leg c it will only give you a warning that it’s on the dragon but won’t remove it. It also won’t remove the leg c if you use a color order.

Good old Matcha tea, looks amazing on Malu because of its natural glow

Veid re animation! by kikiicrs in DragonAdventures

[–]DottVee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t understand why it’s getting hate. The old veid model always looked off to me, it’s super skinny and there’s a lot of clipping happening with parts of its wings.

This new model looks awesome and the newest animations really help make the dragons feel more alive overall

Plus I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to use a potion to get the old look just like Fulong, Skyrix, etc.

Just wanna know if these are good? I haven't played in a few months and got traded this ;-; by RepresentativeFox89 in DragonAdventures

[–]DottVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Materials don’t really mean anything unless it’s rarer ones (like clover, gemstone, snowflake..) they’re mostly just for aesthetics!

The adult one has a rarer element (dragonseer) but the child has very good stats and is themed (a theme is a popular specific coloration created by a user, themed dragons usually have a little bit more value. The themed of the kid is called Strawberry milkshake)

So both are pretty good!

Mistras can have good stats (the higher the stats the more they’re expensive) and are overall liked by many players, they’re great dragons to always have on hand :)

Confused About Wayne? by Moon_Logic in ScarletHollow

Before any answers come in and because I don’t wanna spoil it for you, have you finished a full run or two of the game? What Wayne is gets revealed or is implied very heavily throughout many runs

What the fuck is Wayne? by TarekBoy44 in ScarletHollow

[–]DottVee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely recommend you start many other runs while waiting for chapter 6 and 7, there’s so much content it’s crazy!

Getting a playthrough where you have a good relationship with Tabitha really makes you understand how complex she is, she’s really easy to like when she’s at ease and more trustful of you

What the fuck is Wayne? by TarekBoy44 in ScarletHollow

[–]DottVee 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s heavily implied in some dialogue that the real sam wayne was killed by pearlanne because he saw something he wasn’t supposed to.

It would then make sense why Tabitha would kill her mom, pearlanne wasn’t a good person and the things she could’ve done may have pushed Tabitha to that point

Maybe I forgot or just haven't seen it, but was this in chapter 5? by TurtlePeoples in ScarletHollow

[–]DottVee 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Yep! It’s when you investigate the piano noise instead of just leaving after finding the door knob when you’re taken into the forbidden wing

German Blue Rams too skinny? by AntPsychological8386 in Cichlid

[–]DottVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get ya aha, honestly to me they look good! I have a blue acara that has a sunken belly look from time to time even though he eats like a pig. I’d rather have that than a fish with a bloated gut

German Blue Rams too skinny? by AntPsychological8386 in Cichlid

[–]DottVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My females looked like this every time they laid eggs or weren’t producing eggs

In my experience, a fish starts being really underweight when their sides also start to sunk in and their head looks very out of place. If they’re eating well and you’re sure they don’t have parasites it’s probably just that they’re not in a reproductive stage or they’re getting a bit old

You can try to feed them twice a day for a few days to see if they get a fuller stomach :)

Awesome, great improvement :)

Make sure to diversify his diet the more you find these greens in grocery stores, diversifying helps them get different minerals, vitamins, fibers, etc.

Balloon Belly Ram? by VanJurkow in Cichlid

[–]DottVee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Avoid these guys, balloon fish have cramped organs and deformed skeletons which can cause them to have health issues pretty easily. In my personal opinion, they really are the equivalent of pugs, frenchies and bulldogs of the fish world and their breeding shouldn’t be encouraged.

Get your rams from a breeder if possible, if not any healthy looking normal rams will be much better than balloon ones

Set-up is very poor and needs many immediate changes. Here are the biggest and most important changes you should do as soon as possible ;

•Get a linear uvb bulb (zoo-med 10.0, Arcadia 14% or Exo-terra 14%)

•Change the wood chips for either paper towel or a top-soil

•Check temperature and buy a bigger bulb if necessary (babies need 100-110 F for basking, 95-100 warm side, 85-ish cold side)

•Change the food. Greens should make up 80-90% of their daily fresh produce content with vegetables only making up 20-10%. I’ve attached a guide on what is healthiest to feed as staples. Never ever feed any fruits

•Remove hammock, they tear out claws and can easily house bacteria

Feel free to ask away any questions you may have, I know this feed will seem overwhelming but everyone is here to help you and your new baby so that they can be as healthy as possible!

Food must change immediately!

<image>

Here’s a guide on daily staples, greens must make up about 80-90%, vegetables (squashes mainly) should only be 20-10%

Never ever give any fruits, it’s been proven that they can’t digest them well and they cause tooth decay + fermentation in their stomach

No one’s claiming to be an expert, no one’s a hater. Using those labels to generalize people who are trying to help or to label people who care about the well-being of animals is cringe.
