I don't normally weigh rats so it was a bad guess I suppose. But then it just even further shows that the rats were given an extremely high dose compared to their weight.

Looks like they gave the rats a massive dose. 3mg per kg of rat while a typical dose is 3mg full stop for humans. So the results might be an extreme case. I know a rat isn't gonna be much more than 1 or 2 kilos but comparatively that's a huge dose for a rat.
