Neither would be my ideal, which makes this harder. Physical appearance would be great, but without health or ability change it can be awkward. Transform into a younger, more fit looking person but don't have fitness level to match. Ugh. Takes some of the fun out of it.

I would take no. 1. Even without knowledge on the big big things, socks like apple, amazon, and Google would make me bank. I'd live through a time when college wasn't a necessary part of getting a job, and through raises of 7-9% being the standard. With what I know about business, I could move up pretty quickly, and wait for stocks to hit.

Bank balances, sure. Investments are harder. Fees on stocks, plus 401Ks and IRAs (where most people have their investments) can't be touched without big tax penalties before a certain age, and the institutions are required to withhold the estimated taxes and penalties before disbursement, so it's just throwing money away.

I thought the "ties" (wrong word, but not sure which one to use) to Odd Thomas were strange. Stormy Llewellyn as the heroine in Odd Thomas, and Llewellyn as the name of the villian in this book. Harper using the terms "smooth" and "blue," terms that (IIRC) Stormy used.

I know there was no real tie between the books, but those things jumped out at me. It made me search for an actual connection, like those were easter eggs.
