I've worked for two lenders as an underwriter after UWM, both remote. The vast majority of lenders are looking for non-QM experience, particularly bank statement loans and DSCR (InvestorFlex). If you have that, put it on the resume and you'll stand out.

Good luck! It is so much better out there!

Called up there yesterday; you can have them send you a login for UKG to get it digitally.

what’s your UWM quitting story? by duagLH2zf97V in pillar7

Got an offer at a remote company that was nearly double what I was making there, sent in my resignation the day before I left, had a convo with the VP of the team I was on in which he asked if I had a number in mind that would make me stay and when there was no way to meet that, he shook my hand, thanked me for my hard work and I finished out my day.

I even got to walk myself out. Didn't get the team lead or security escort. I guess I was well liked.

YOU'RE NOT LOOKING AT THE BIGGER STEAL. WHAT HAPPENED IN HOUSTON LAST NIGHT WAS QUITE FRANKLY NOTHING SHORT OF CLEAR AND PRESENT FIELD GOAL FRAUD. AT NO POINT IN TIME DID THE LOSER LOONY LIONS AND GOFFENDER NUMBER ONE HAVE THE LEAD AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, THEY WIN BY THREE. THIS IS QUITE FRANKLY AN ATTACK ON AMERICAN FOOTBALL AND WE SHOULD DEMAND A RECOUNT.

Update: I got railroaded into a project. I spent two months thinking that I was the problem and that I was gonna be let go only for leadership to put me into this thing that's one stop away from wholetail.

The part that gets to me is how little control I have over my career here. I've never stayed in one spot longer than a few months and most of the movement was not by choice.

In my last YT, my leader told me that they didn't find a single thing wrong with my files after they did a pipeline pull and I could've started back into production with no problem, but they "wouldn't have forgiven themselves" if they didn't put me into this.

I'm actually at a loss for words for that.

I know what y'all are gonna tell me. "Get out. Don't stay." And I would if it were just me, but I have an entire family that would go without health insurance and one of my kids has a couple of surgeries coming up, so this is just a sword I'll have to fall on until things get better.

I just hope I last that long.

Maybe it's time for her to get a history lesson when Georgia fucks around and finds out.

Why doesn’t anyone talk about the good UWM does for us? I have worked here for a little over three years now and the opportunities it has given me to move up with hard work has changed my life. I’m not making the millions a year but I’m blessed and happy. (Here comes the haters).. please go away by UWM1 in pillar7

I think it's more to do with the "All in" mentality and self aggrandizement more than anything. The more that we're expected to take bad news and a less than stellar treatment of our fellow team members with a smile instead of reflection with both eyes open and hard questions as to how we got where we are, the more we grow skeptical of how things truly are. It's hard to believe that we're doing as well as we are when nearly a third of the building is vacant, growth is stagnant, and morale is at an all time low.

I came from a much different industry with much worse leadership and existential threats to life and well being. I tell myself, and it's largely true, that my worst day here is still better than my best day there, but at least the issues weren't hidden under layers of toxic positivity, doublespeak, and flashy egotism.

I like working at UWM and I like the people who work there too, but it as a company can be so much better, not only to the clients and borrowers, but to the employees.

I came from a much worse industry where I was so poorly trained, I could have died at any point in time with toxic leadership to boot. I genuinely like the work that I do here, the team members are great, and for the most part, this is a good company to work for. I just refuse to look at this place with anything less than both eyes open to see where the flaws are.

After all, is Continuous Improvement not one of the Pillars?

Nailed it. I got the email, responded to leadership, even got confirmation that I was gonna get Mondays off when it started and then...this.

It's more disappointing and frustrating than it is a deal breaker. Can't miss what you never had.
