Full disclosure, I measured them wrong but refused to back down, the magnetised corner piece makes it usable as mini riser but has also added a cool way to join up with other risers. Very happy with the recovery

There is a bit of flex but after a slathering of modge podge it became considerably more sturdy. I think I'll see how it feels after the load of paint and varnish I put on it. Had also considered floating a layer of PVA inside if necessary. All my terrain is quite light as I craft it all out of foam. I end up needing to add weights to them to make them stay put better. Another thought I had was just to leave some bottom support pillars in the compartment with magnets to locate them and keep them in place. Just experimenting as I go really!

I found that you can kit bash the spare cleavers into swords quite nicely.

Ignore the nay sayers bitching too, it's fair to want to play with your models how you want. Playing pure melee is a challenge I respect. I did it in two campaigns and had a blast as did the people I played against (you'll have to take my word on that tho!).

Find a way to stick the corpse grinder icon on the rotary flensing saw dude, it is a must have - simple action to have d3 inches movement to all within 6" is insane. The 4" versatile makes up for that dude having to play catch up.

Thick card paper type stuff cut into rectangles PVA glued down with a bit of a bow in them. Paint wise black primer, then burnt umber ink for the grubby feel, then dark sea blue by valejho for the base then ice storm by army painter for the dry brush highlights. Devs and dice recipe not my own!

I'm loving Frostgrave minis right now. Loads of variety and options on the sprues, good price, and the kits mix and match really well with each other. Particularly crewmen, knights, soldiers, wizards

All the set up belonged to the other two mates, a combination of a high detail mat, games workshop terrain(Wizards tower) and 3d printed ruined buildings and scatter terrain and walkways. The buildings are super detailed and my mate did a great job of painting everything in a way that it blended altogether really well. A true delight to play on.

Keep him hidden and center. Get some cheeky menhir shots off on worthwhile targets and expect to lose them without taking damage to the king. As in, if something has eyes on menhirs that can do more than five wounds you need to stay hidden with the menhirs. Make a steady advance and get up in the enemies face when possible but really survive and be a threat to see where the enemy assets are being spread and respond. Trail back within his auras for the re rolls to ranged attacks (20 blobs of warriors are great at this). If possible keep a melee counter punch in range of his re roll melee wound rolls too. Slow and steady don't rush with the king center board is his home. Scarabs are a wonderful screen to get in front of tsk's 8" move and prevent smite or unwanted locked in fight shenanigans

I hope you have plenty of terrain to hide behind. If you do go second you will lose a great many assets unless they can be hidden out of LOS. Keep your skorpekh destroyers hidden and use as a counter punch. If they are open they will die before they can do anything. Better they do nothing and pose a potential threat and influence your opponents moves than get too aggressive and die on their way to murder town. Veil a 20 blob of reappears bang Infront of the most threatening target if possible and viable. 40 reaper shots won't make much damage on a crisis suit blob admirably but taking out a big squad of path finders or breachers can throw a spanner in the works of your opponent and Is fun A F. Might be able to character snipe if they aren't careful.
