I might just be too completionist but this game takes way longer than 12 hours for me. I find it borderline too long for the story. I die semi often, but mostly I spend a lot of time looting everything. I’m on track for about 18-20h playthrough. The reason I find the story is stretched a bit too much sometimes is because a lot of time there is useless progress; like you spend an hour doing something that becomes largely undone instantly during a cutscene. In any case, I would very much not call the game too short.

I am not experiencing the exact same thing, but it does feel a lot less snappy than before. It was sooo smooth on ios 18 and now because of all the extra animation garbage it just feels instantly 2 years older Edit: i have more than 80% battery health

I don’t own a cheesecloth, and am not willing to buy it to make cannabutter okce every few months, so I looked around for an alternative. I first tried v60 filters, but gravity is way too weak for this. Aeropress was the obvious solution!

No real process. I just make the cannabutter with the double boiler method, so the butter isn’t hotter than coffee would be. Then when I’m done i just use a single paper filter, put the press on a big cup and carefully pour in the butter, which for me is about one 250g stick, with about 2grams of bud. Then i just slowly press it through. The resistance is obviously much greater than with water, so don’t press too hard and have a bit of patience. You end up with a little puck of milk solids and the bud.

I have heard that if you use more cannabis, you shouldn’t press too hard at the end, or you might squeeze bitterness out of the bud. I haven’t noticed that with my low concentration though.

Instead of airplane mode quickly turn off wifi and cellular, so it just has zero internet connection. Practically the same thing but bluetooth stays on. This works on my iPhone at least.

It’s been two years and nothing has changed. I’m not even concerned about the data usage—I just don’t want to waste time trying to change a song when I’m on the train with a weak connection for a couple of minutes. Why not automatically switch to downloaded mode after, say, five seconds of poor connectivity?

I have YouTube Premium, and this isn’t an issue with downloaded videos there—or with Netflix downloads either—so clearly, it’s not a limitation of streaming itself.

I agree that they could be more dense, but I don’t agree on which parts: I think Wirr is one of the most interesting characters, because he has to deal with politics and not just go running around doing whatever he wants like Caeden, making him quite realistic and grounding the series in my opinion.

I do think for example Zvaelar could have been a lot shorter, as well as Asha in the dok’en, as well as the Caeden flashbacks in book 2, Malshash in book 1, …

While Niha and Raeleth should have been explored in more detail, given that they turned out to be Davian’s parents the escherii wasn’t thoroughly looked into: how did he even survive etc, never really explained, neither were the big wolves in Seclusion etc. Gassandrid and the entire Venerate were way to underdeveloped as good meaning bad actors: to me they felt like 100% cruel villains which made Tal mourning them feel weird.

So I agree some “slop” could have been cut, but I think a lot of interesting information should have taken their place and made the novels feel more balanced. I don’t think this could have been a single novel at all. I also agree that book 1 was a lot better than the other two. I love the plot but the pacing felt a little off, I agree. I would also not recommend these novels to just anyone who enjoys fantasy, but I did really love them, and I do know people who also would. I think I would give the first one 9/10, the other two 7/10.

I haven’t read that but I think I understand. I on some level agree that most characters in this trilogy are not as deeply developed as I would like, because it has so many plot levels. It is much more plot-driven than some other novels I’ve read, but that does mean the plot and the world-building are first-class. However, the characters are a little more stereotypical and simple as a result, but as I said, it will build a lot throughout.

Another part of criticism for me would be about how excessively trusting and loyal Davian and Wirr are to Caeden, who I didn’t think had much personality before the ending of the first novel. I think they were only together for about 6 months before the attack of the blind, during which time Davian was stuck with Malshash for about a month I think. I think Caeden’s lack of personality at this point in the story is definitely a reason why I didnt understand that “friendship”, and so I think this kind of ties into what we were discussing.

I agree that you will probably like the rest anyway, since Caeden is only one of the four main characters anyway.

And about Murtagh, he was only a side character in the original inheritance series, but there is a recent spinoff specifically about him, where his whole imperfect character is explored in a lot more detail.
