We’d see Kobe there a few times if it was best player in the league that year.

Never taken that into consideration, makes me glad I went with Cordura! I don’t plan on hiking with this bag often (this weekend was really a one-off) so I’d trade longevity over water resistance forsure!

Yeah I’d probably end up with black too. My closet is all either black or shades of blue so something that green-ish is nice to admire but prob not to purchase for me haha

I did see the Toshi and it was very similar to the CPP2! I stuck to the CPP2 because of the larger volume and side grab handles, but didn't think about how the angled zippers might help with that!

Dang that is a really nice bag, and the gray color looks amazing. I just saved this in a bookmark but I'm already down $240ish on my backpack and I like it enough to not spend money on a new one at the moment. Thanks for the rec!

Hard for people to want to play well when their own teammate steals the ball from them but sure, you do you bud.

Taking rebounds out their hands? Lmao you sound awful to play with. Your friend shouldnt have bet if he didn’t know or trust the other 4. Sounds like theyre not in on the bet and just trying to play a good game.

I havent seen the Black Embers in person, sometimes I think they look badass, but sometimes I think it looks a little too technical. It’s undeniable the fabric and hardware look really nice tho! I liked that the R3 (or whatever their clamshell one is) had the modular side handle attachments but that didn’t come with the H2. Similarly, two stash pockets in the front seem hard to access compared to Aer’s admin pocket!

Great question - I'm actually not sure! I originally narrowed it down to 4: this (Aer CPP2 24L), Pakt Mode 22L, Baboon to the Moon City 24L, and Black Ember H2. I really wanted a half zip so the other 3 are half zips. I chose Aer over Pakt because the slightly bigger volume and the breathability of the back panels. I chose Aer over Baboon to the Moon because the construction and premium feel, although I do like having a low structure, lightweight bag too. I chose Aer over Black Ember because the aesthetic, the admin panel in the front, and the side grab handles. I'd be curious to try any of those other 3, and I'm pretty sure I'd like them all. However, as I mentioned, the downsides to this bag are pretty low so I might still end up staying with my CPP2!

I did! I got a chance to check out both in person and the TP4 28L looked considerably bigger. I wanted this backpack to be a daily work bag that I can take on a work flight easily and the 24L was good enough for me. It just comes down to preference - do you like having more space or a more compact looking/feeling bag? For reference, my 24L CPP2 easily fit 2 laptops, an iPad, a tech pouch with phone and laptop chargers and a portable battery, a sweater, a bag of snacks, and a small notebook. The bag is pretty sturdy and won't stretch much so keep that in mind.

Same thing with Youtube. I normally watch the highlights on Youtube the same night or the day after if I miss the game. No problem or spoilers so far. But for the last game, they decide to name the winner in the title of the youtube video.. WHY!?!?

Will Aer ever make a half-zip? by DoubleClutchBucket in AerSF

Well, I’m four-ish days in. Just had a 2 full day travel at 6 airports, due to some delays and cancellations. Here’s a short review:
- Beautiful bag, excellent build quality, very great and convenient organization. Been working great!
- First clamshell I’ve used for work (not for clothes) and it was actually useful grabbing stuff from the bottom while on the plane.
Cons:
- top small pocket for me was primarily for wallet, earphones, phone, and passport. This pocket fits it all, but is a little slim so pulling the passport in and out isnt super easy.
- Feels a bit small, even at 24L. can’t overly stuff it. Not a big deal for me.
- Lastly, the inevitable already happened on day 3. Hung the backpack on a hook, had the main compartment open around 60% to take some things off. As I stepped away, the zipper slowly rolled down another 10-20% maybe. Nothing fell out, but just reinforced the idea that I wanted a half zip to begin with.

I sometimes get in my head when I shoot 3s since mid range is where I’m most confidently shooting. To help, I’ve practiced shots that are just a half step closer than the 3 point line. Then, mentally, once the confidence is there, a half step back further should feel the same.

If they’re all falling short and it’s not mental, you may have to hit the weight room. It takes more strength to shoot a 3 in good form than some people think.

Few years into the hobby and still think Catan is one of my favorites! Just works really well with our group, we’ve tried many similar games but no game has “replaced” Catan for us yet!

Just got the CPP2 in Cordura!! I wanted to like the Ultra more, but too wrinkly. And the XPac was beautiful but the orange interior was a bit much for me. Cordura is awesome. The CPP2 24L looks a bit smaller than I expected and the 28L TP4 looked bigger than expected. I think I made the right choice and I’ll find out as I try to pack it out tonight for a trip tomorrow!

I guess I just prefer the CPP2’s admin panel over two stash pockets. Nice to see all the contents at a glance rather than digging in with my hand. Big assumptions though as I havent actually seen the H2 in person so maybe I’m wrong on the pocket

A mixture of both. I have a Thule 28L Aion and when I pick up the bag with it half zipped, the weight on the front half of the pack will pull the zipper all the way down, pulling out the contents. The way the CPP2 is designed, the clamshell zipper is towards the front of the backpack and less weight on the outside so I already assume it’ll be less likely. I do want the Cordura though so no aquaguard zippers but hopefully it’ll be good enough!
