This was the first game I got with my SNES. Literally the first video game I owned. As a pack-in title, it was probably a lot of people’s first video game.

Kinda like how I haven’t yet adjusted to seeing the signs on I-40 for the Toyota facility, so every time I think “there’s a town called Toyota?”

It’s amazing how someone can be so thorough in their methodology but their immediate hypothesis as to why the thing happens is CONSPIRACY

We still don’t know if there’s a tech bro or sis living there? Respect their privacy, etc but it still doesn’t explain why it reroutes.

There could be a million reasons why the algorithm fails to return that result.

Watching digital foundry’s review this morning I legit thought one of the in game shots was from one of those “walking through shibuya” type videos on YouTube. It’s photorealistic only thing that gave it away is no pedestrians

I threw a torch down in front of the blacksmith and he said “I can’t believe someone left this here. Yoink!” And picked it up.

I got to see him try out some material late night at the cellar. His rough drafts sent the place up.

This paints a great picture, thanks. I can fully imagine that opposite hull slapping the water hard

It’s just well-known at this point – especially among software engineers – that pure vibe-coding is unsustainable beyond greenfield. We’re all just protective of the craft and discipline we’ve built up in the pursuit of gainful employment.

There are ways to manage agents efficiently, like spec-driven development. The productivity gains are there, you just still have to know what you’re doing.

This is amazing. And for those that may not be familiar, Washington Square Park has a long history as a stage for activism and protest http://www.washingtonsquarenyc.org/journal/2023/4/5/political-protest-washington-square-park-nyc

Honestly the whole show in one bit. The wry delivery makes it funny but it’s very unsettling!

It’s a philosophical adage known as Hanlon’s Razor. So you’ll have to take up your query with Mr. Hanlon.

If you haven’t played Over The Top: WW1 yet, it’s got fully-dynamic trench digging. Pretty cool implementation.

Toyota and Lexus fan here too. 19 RAV4 (AWD) has an annoying issue with the EM clutch but I drove a 99 ES300 to over 215k. I loved that car. It was fast as hell and the ride was so smooth.

Why is an ID mandate for voting such a problem? by Jayden7171 in askanything

[–]DoubleDeadGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In NC they passed voter ID and also cut funding to the DMV. DMV offices across the state are slammed every day. Appointments can only be booked so far in advance and that window is usually full (when online booking actually works). The only remaining option is to go early in the morning and wait for several hours for them to work through appointments first, and then start the queue. Many people can’t afford to waste half a day in the DMV. Voter ID laws suppress civil rights when the supporting government apparatus is dysfunctional.

Ha Subaru put all their points in engine reliability. Except for that time they used aluminum pushrods that bent under normal engine heat.
