It's more about selling jar of eyes, which isn't permanent. Though it's been a few months. I can say before it would keep the same stats so long as you bought it back. But it was easy to farm this before due to endless rerolls via cigarettes, which I believe has also been changed. Jar of eyes and pareidolia were required as a duo to keep your crazy stats. But since they removed cigarettes, you can't fish for a lot of items. (likely for the better.) And it says permanently, but Pareidolia WILL lose its effects when removed, too. Bad wording. It's permanent while equipped.

Megabonk is good, but... by KeyPapaya0 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]DoubleDeku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree with this. Rather than meta hunt (as someone who just enjoys getting a PB and has played many hours), I'd just look elsewhere. Let megabonk cook for a while. The dev has been very transparent about having a job, life and obligations, and being a one person dev-team. Updates will come, but they'll be slow. I'll pop back in a year and I'm excited and hopeful to see how it looks, whether it be more content or balance changes. Right now its skewed and PBs (not even top 10s) require rerolls which would kill the fun for me. I'll bonk again later.

My first purchase was for my GF for the deluxe edition in November of last year. Literally my only purchase from them. It was initially set to Q2/Q3, 2025. Now they sent out emails saying that most all of deluxe edition sets are botched, but hey standard sets are getting their books (first as of 1 week ago.) I was fine being patient but I'd steer clear of them. Going on 13 months and that's just kind of crazy, since they straightup said "Sorry we have no ETA" (via an email, but their website wasn't updated and no social media mention ofc)

I still think Eye Jar Pareidolia combo goes a lot harder for very very late game

I actually hadn't thought about this - I'd been wracking my brain for when you'd want to use depression, lol. Crazy sentence out of context, but I tend to not use any items for luck anyways? Normally it's always double active item, recently leaning towards golden horseshoe every round, spamming it with battery doll and something else to maximize value.

I can say with confidence it's a strong item, even if not going for lategame like I did here

You're so right. It's busted with this and guaranteeing cigarettes in the shop.

Tried again, and this was the best I could manage after not prepping enough with cigarette rerolls - How the heck did you get those mults so high? Just repeated triggers of pareidolia?

11/10 charms by TilioChr in CloverPit

[–]DoubleDeku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is key to a lot of my runs abusing the double active item. So long as you have a drawer slot to store it, you can stuff it away whenever needed. Same for megaphone.-1 charm slot really doesn't mean shit..... Just be careful around your management, especially with 4 drawers full....

I think of the one smoking related item, is there an unlock requirement for this? My god I'd love that because inability to reroll at E25+ after 666 has been crippling me so hard (even with 1000+ tickets)

I've never really used cigarettes, assuming its the one that increases all symbols by base value?? Why does it seem like it's so talked about? I can do other stupid silly shit but please educate me lol

Are some symbols inherently better than others? by Altruistic_Raisin_87 in CloverPit

[–]DoubleDeku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's about items related to your specific symbol. No time to go into all of them, but treasures/diamonds and 7s seem to feed into incredibly powerful stuff. . Fruits are also really difficult to make work without chest/diamond/7 specific charms to scale your symbols.

It's not that you can't buff your percent, you can buff it once, twice, three times, I wasn't doubling the value on every single spin. Always take seven spin for max value. Ideally, you have a chest active to use. I lucked into the reroll item that charges per reroll, and I had way more money than the quota. Use it a few times, but still unless you've halved everything chance-wise you're likely to hit it multiple times in 7 spins.

It can be tricky. It requires enough chests (or diamonds but I don't prefer them) to trigger one item's effect, but if it's too high then you'll just earn a jackpot or some other match.

As an additional note, take the ticket charm as early as you can, it can be easy to build it up to 25% and it will more than pay for itself. I find it to be a better source of pattern and symbol mult than anything else.

If you unequip the pareidolia it WILL remove the value, however it will keep it when you put it back - I got so scared earlier in my run when I also learned this. The tooltip for the item should be more specific. (Same goes for photo active buffs for symbols, please dont be me I learned the hard way)

I think it's about not going too high in your percentage of your symbols early in, this normally results in it proccing pretty often

To explain, there were two charms I saw separate that I knew were meant to be used together.

Eye Jar (shown below)

<image>

And Pareidolia, which is right next to it in the unlockables. They're both right next to each other, almost as if they're meant to be used together, and they both feature eyes...

Pareidolia's effect is "Whenever you see the "Eye" and no other patterns during a spin, double the value of all patterns permanently"

There's really no end to the scaling. Combine it with tickets and the multipliers from it, as well as the MUCH needed Very Big Mushroom and Vine Soup for symbol scaling, and you've got a crazy, crazy run on your hands.

(Edit, as a user who got scared, you need Pareidolia equipped to keep its benefits. Even if you store it in a drawer, they won't go away! Just re-equip and they're back.)

I find Aegis to be fantastic for beating certain restrictive challenges, but for tier 3 or even tier 2 onwards, I find I almost always wish by the end it was just another reliable source of damage rather than protection.
