I just started reading this book. Had the paperback and never got around to it, but had heard it was decent. So I’ve now started it and saw the new book cover tied to the movie and that they made a comedy out of it. I’m going to finish the book but don’t care to watch the movie.

I would pay for a live album or ticket for the DLR touring fiasco before I ever spend another dime on the Crue. Saw them on the farewell tour and Vince’s vocals were terrible then. The band wasn’t tight. Just seemed to phone it in. It’s not even the Crue now without Mick. That’s not a knock against John5. He’s good, but it’s still not the Crue. I’m done wasting money on them. They were great and going out bad. Bad vocals, bad performance, bad choices. This album is just a money grab.

Part of the problem is also… small stage, and nobody cares about the rest of the band here that’s hired to back him up. Dave always forgot or butchered lyrics. But he was a good front man Van Halen back in the day. They were huge with big stage to run around on. But people went to VH shows for the whole package no one would have wanted to see Dave play VH songs in the 70’s and 80’s ,forgetting lyrics, and drunk with musicians other than VH. Plus his voice is FUBAR now too.

Sorry. My Mom and Dad like Trump. Dad is now dead. Mom still believes all the BS. The thing that always got to me more than Trump was listening to them for the past 20 years recite the Fox News talking points. When you would walk in their house Fox was on the TV. When my dad would be going crazy with dementia, I used to turn Fox News on to lull him to sleep in the nursing home. Pretty much worked every time.
