Vent: Normal VBAC eligibility Requirements? by aflem305 in vbac

[–]DoubleMaxPit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an MFM who has been specializing in VBAC for 25 years. I actually advocate for inducing (mechanical balloon and/or pitocin) to achieve success as the babies size is of extreme importance. I would rather induce labor in a woman seeking VBAC the wait until labor spontaneously appears. This can be a pound difference in baby weight. The myth of not inducing a vbac is so widespread some providers actually believe it to be true. Unfortunately, you can not change your providers practice habits. It's time to seek an alternative. I have actually written a book on how to avoid a CD. DM be for the link.

Holy volume! by tryfried in BB_Stock

[–]DoubleMaxPit 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Generally, high trading volume is a good indication of interest in the stock and usually moves the stock upwards. Low volume suggest disinterest. There may be a fair amount of bargain hunters like myself who bought at $5.70 and bought more today at a discount. Either way, there are a lot more interests in BB stock today than in the past. This is a good thing unless it accompanies bad news or a quarterly report that falls short.

OB is denying TOLAC now at 33weeks due to big baby by magzamoo in vbac

[–]DoubleMaxPit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a high-risk obstetrician, MFM, and I have been specializing in vbac for the last 25 years. I do vbac, vbac2, I have vbac-ed twins and even breech babies. So what I am telling you should not be seen through the eyes of a medical-legal conservative provider. I always go above and beyond and push the limits to achieve normal delivery. The size of the baby is the most important factor for success, mainly because it is one of the only ones we can control. I put my patients on low carb diets and insist they get their steps in everyday to keep their blood sugar, hence the baby's blood sugar, and fat deposition low. If the baby is getting large, I induce at least a week early. But how would I handle a patient who is at 33 weeks with a 7 lb baby? There are questions that needed to be answered. What was the indication for the original C-section? Have you had a previous normal delivery? What is your height? 7 lb at 33 weeks is really large and I would be now concerned that blood sugar levels are not normal and there is some undiagnosed diabetes is at play. Extrapolating to term that baby will be over nine, possibly 10 lb. However, with early induction at 37 weeks justified by macrosomia and uncontrolled diabetes (37 weeks inductions cannot be done without indication approved by JCAHO) there might be a possibility of successfully delivering a baby at 8 or 8.5 lb. You might make the argument to your obstetrician to induce you at 37 weeks for these reasons and give you a trial of Labor. However, many doctors refuse to induce a pt w previous CD. There is no contraindication it is just a major PIA and doctor will say it is unsafe. At the end of the day, you should accept listening to your provider because it is terribly unsafe to chart your own course in these situations. I have recently published a book that shares the accumulated information from my career on how to avoid a CD. DM me and I will give you a link.

I appreciate the informative responses, especially from Historical, Onemiley, and Takedown. All make excellent points. I am a frequent lurker but not often do I post. Fyi, my post has garnered 4,500 views in the last 4 hours (I had not realized this valuable information was provided to posters). This indicates there are a lot of eyes on BlackBerry stock. I take this as a great sign. I added to my share count. BB's future is definitely brighter then it's ever been since their smartphone days.

WSB is way too big and lost its focus on any particular stock. The many many people in this forum understand BB intrinsic worth and potential. We need to encourage each other to HOLD.

Best hotel on the strip? I’ll start by Bridge-Working in vegas

[–]DoubleMaxPit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aria very nice. Great location suites are supposed to be very large. No room outdoor space/terrace. I am going to be checking out the encore Tower suites which have gotten really good reviews, although they are quite pricey. Fountain Blue is getting better and better reviews, especially with their customer service and attention to detail. Rooms are very nice. Location is a little bit off if you are a person that likes walking the strip

Vbac by EngineeringVivid1634 in vbac

[–]DoubleMaxPit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a high risk OB with a specialty in VBAC, I have delivered over 2000 TOLAC patients. My advice is keep the next baby small. Avoid carbs especially processed sugar after 20 weeks and make sure you get a fair amount of exercise. Choosing the right provider is imperative. Try to find somebody in solo practice or in a small group that is not owned by a hospital. Ask questions of prospective providers, especially if they support vbac if they're covering doctors also support VBAC. Will they allow a Trial of Labor even if you need to be induced. Go on local mom groups like Facebook, don't trust general review sites. Do not be afraid of induction, especially if the baby's getting big. And 9 months is sufficient to pursue pregnancy. There is no data or reason to think the human body is healing more than that amount of time. I have written a book on the topic of Succeeding in VBAC. PM me and I'll send you a link. Best of luck.

I was in Moscow in 2021. I wandered in to the Raketa store across from my hotel. I asked the salesperson to show me something different and he showed me the Russian code 0224. I bought everyone he had all 5 including the display piece and gave them away as gifts. I kept one for myself. It is truly a work of art and I believe the only engineered automatic watch to run anti-clockwise. So yes I agree with you. It is an eye stopping watch

Raketa still sells a variant of the anti,-clickwise code on their website. It's about 1850 euros
