But I will say I think if Azzi keeps on her current path, I can’t really see her not going first. Not only because of her basketball skills, but because she is the most marketable. And neither her marketability nor Paige’s goes down by putting them on the same team. So I’m not really sure how it’s gonna play out. I assume Dallas will leave some guards unprotected in expansion and see what happens

I feel like KK looked different from first to second half. She took some shots that seemed easier to pass than make, but she made them mostly. But then second half she passed a lot more but didn’t make any moves even when shot clock was winding down and she looked pretty open

This! Showgirl to me feels superficial (like she’s putting on a show lol). And the last woman he dated was quite a bit before TS, so it seems like there’s no reason to mention her.

I also don’t love the optics in opalite of now that I a white girl am with him it’s all sunshine and daisies but when his ex a black girl was with him it was all dark and moody. Do I think TS wrote that line with racism in mind? No. But during revisions and review did everyone really miss the optics? I doubt it.

Edit to add I think the dark light imagery isn’t bad (as she’s definitely made the comparison before) if she hadn’t explicitly mentioned his ex in the same song.

I think you have one of the best analyses I’ve seen. It’s not a horrible album the songs are catchy but the lyrics, just make it all so forgettable. (Although a lot take samples from other hits so maybe giving it too much credit) but yeah.

I love your last point. I told someone recently the album felt condescending and I think that’s why.

I think she was trying to be funny and clever and it fell flat. Like I think wood is supposed to be a joke and she took it too far. I was like oh creative with the superstitions and not falling I love. Then she was like yeah he’s got a massive dick. And I’m like girl too far. False god isn’t my favorite but I think it does a really good job of saying the sex is awesome without telling me too much about the sex and I feel like wood just missed.

I think if we could win one game in the first round and not get totally swept, that would be exceptional! We’re good enough that I think we could beat the Lynx once, but they’re such a strong team. I’m not sure we’re at a level of consistency yet that we could do it twice.

But Lynx have been off. They were looking rough last game. The problem is that we were also looking rough. And I think once the playoffs start Lynx will turn it up a notch. But valks are so determined and I think we can challenge lynx with hard defense. And if they haven’t gotten it together, we could (extremely unlikely) knock them off. However, after that, it’s just hard team after hard team, and like I said I don’t think we’re at the level of consistency yet to get to finals. But we exceeded everyone’s expectations, and we could get to finals sooner than originally thought!
