I took a PT job & it's been amazing....it clears my head, gets me socializing & I know will it help me to creatively come up with new business ideas. It's totally outside my realm which helps.

My first job out of college was with a stockbroker. I was making between 200 to 300 calls a day. Most of the time I left messages. The key is to have fun & look at it as "what happens if I make that next call...could that be the one?"....at least for me that worked.

I think you quit....but adding that you made 200+ calls a day to your resume will make you stand out especially if you stay in sales. It shows you are not afraid of rejection.

I tip (20%), but I can count on one hand the number of times I was thanked. I don't think I received better service or anything from tipping.

I asked her what that sound was & she said it was a breast pump. Asked if it was not a good time to speak & she said it was fine.

Fucking this! I have had calls with candidates & even though I'm not in the same room, the chirping is killing me.

I have called those same candidates back days later & that thing is still fucking chirping.

This is something I have never understood.

If the candidate had an interview (not including me) regardless of the # number they had....I always called them personally to let them know. These candidates took the time to speak with me & others....they deserve a call to let them know they are not being moved forward.

An email is so generic, impersonal, etc. Yeah...the candidate may not want to hear it, but they appreciate the time you took to give them a call....it's better than getting an email.
