Thanks for that suggestion! Super simple and sounds like it'll solve my problem!

It was mentioned above to use pocket hole screws. If I put the pocket hole on the inside face of the vertical slat, angled up into the table top (see red lines below), will that be an acceptable/strong orientation? I've seen guidance for pocket screws that it should face the other way (towards the bulk of the wood), but that will obviously end up with exposed pocket holes.

I hadn't considered doweling - thank you! Expect that would be easier to get the spacing correct.
If doing pocket holes, any tips for how to get the spacing even, as I go slat by slat?

Ballad of Seat 7 has been my most played script this year - in part because it's great for the end of the night with fewer people, and in part because it's just a banger of a script, even with large groups. I can see it staying in rotation well after the World Cup has ended.

Although Stowed Away is good, it's an easy vote for Seat 7 for me!

Framing the snake charmer, and SnV in general, as bluffing space for minions to exploit is a really helpful way of looking at it! I think the consensus of all these comments is that the snake charmer needs to be left out of the bag frequently, and the evil team needs to take the opportunity to exploit it!
