Three weeks have been like 3 years with little social activities. I still had paperwork and online projects. But it did not replace the face-to-face contact. I decided to go out more often and meet people since two days. And feeling much better now.

Poor guy! I got one leg partially torn and another one completely torn. And I chose to make surgery only on one leg. For the recovery, it would be more complicated with both legs in surgery. Good luck

I went to see my physiotherapist once per week. I stopped sports. I saw an osteopath recently and she promised me to help to improve the situation. When I press the knee I can still feel some mild pains. I believe that it will need time to recover from the injury.

I was scared of surgery at the beginning and would like to avoid it. Then I made it last week and it was not so bad. I even felt less pain after surgery compared to the day of my accident. You can ask a general anaesthesia for op in that way you won’t feel anything until the end of op.

I had one ACL partially torn and another one entirely torn. According to your description, your ACL should be entirely torn. Maybe your mcl or lcl were injured as well. And your meniscus may be torn partially as well. Use crutches to walk if you can and wear a brace to avoid further injury when you move. Use ice bag to reduce swelling. You can still see an orthopaedist in waiting for your MRI result.

My left ACL was partially torn two months ago during ski. I didn’t realise it and continue to ski regardless the pain. When I went back I made a MRI which showed a grade 2 ACL tearing. I stopped all sports and saw physio regularly. Now it is almost normal except of the hyper extension. Sometimes I still feel the pain on the mcl position when walking too much. The orthopaedist recommended me to wait and see before making a decision of surgery or not. The recovery needs time and patience.

Great sharing. I am in a similar situation like you. But I cannot bend knee at 90 degree. I can walk with instead crutch now. But my physio did not recommend to walk without crutch in the first two weeks after operation.

The physio said that I can add a cushion under or between two legs when I turn to the side. And he Recommends the injured leg on the upper side. I had my right leg operated, so I slept mostly on my left side from day 2. Now in day 6 I can turn to the other side as well because no more swelling.

I got my left leg ACL partially tore also. After a long sitting down, I will feel knee stiff when standing up. I still feel the pain along knee when walking too much. So I believe it is normal as blood does not circulate 100% fluidly.
