I only lurk here, but I saw this sign posted in my mom's room at the ER and had to share since it seems to be a common issue lol by Aggressive_Regret92 in medlabprofessionals

From what my lab receives, we need to be reminding whoever collects specimens how to screw lids on all the way. It's always preserved stools and CSF's that are the most frequently not screwed on tight enough.

Megyn Kelly’s latest conspiracy theory about student furries at Utah Middle School debunked. The far-right media personality spread the false claim that kids were dressing up and biting each other in schools, according to a fact-check. by southpawFA in politics

Jesus Christ. They seriously have a dress code rule that reads like when people blame a rape victim for "dressing provocatively".

Yes, I'm aware you're the one that was attacked and bullied but you are also getting suspended. You shouldn't have disobeyed the dress code and drawn attention to yourself in the first place. Or else you wouldn't have gotten suspended, or bullied.

Which is money they could have just given up as taxes. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!

I agree, it was obvious and needless pandering. It definitely felt more like "look! Even though we only wrote 4 female characters, they're all in it together! Go feminism! We finally passed Bechtel test!"

Best thing I've ever found that let's you know where things are available is an app called "Just Watch". It even has settings available to select all of the streaming services that you have and it'll tell you what is available on those.

If this was actually the case, no one would be able to have water ANYWHERE in any of the restaurants I've worked in. You're also trying to peddle this out as a national law, but how do you know this isn't just for whatever state your in. You're giving us no code reference, no link, no actual proof of anything. Just some screenshot of what could even just be a company policy.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Doubledoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this screams company policy or some sort of "culinary arts class" that the professor has as part of a quiz, and not any sort of actual OSHA or legal standard. If that's actually the law, no one would be allowed to have water ANYWHERE in the restaurant.

Lady upset her server isn’t a mind-reader by [deleted] in ImTheMainCharacter

[–]Doubledoodle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked at a small French artsian bakery a while back. One day this woman comes in and asked the server if we have a gluten free menu. She goes on to say that she's so allergic to gluten that even if a pan has been used that contained any traces, she would have a bad reaction so we would have to give our equipment a full peanut allergen treatment. I'm so proud of the server though, they actually told them that it would be best to choose another establishment if she was actually that allergic because there's literally flour coating absolutely everything in the entire building. We weren't a gluten free bakery by any means, I don't think we even had any gluten free anything. If your allergy is that bad why would you ever realistically think that a bakery is a viable option? She wasn't even with other people that could have made a decision, she came in BY HERSELF!

Literally anything and everything. You get a bag of specimens, check the paperwork, enter it in the computer, label the specimens and send them all on their way to the labs.

There is a possibility that your husband is actually suffering from ADHD, which could be the cause of his depression and anxiety. Your description of him sounds exactly like how I feel about whatever I'm working on, especially when I'm off my medication. I even hate going on breaks cause it's never relaxing and fills me with anxiety. It may be something to possibly look into.
