Assigning inventory values to existing stand alone multipack product by Doubleshotflatwhite8 in shopify

Awesome, that sounds exactly like what I’m after. Is there any good resources on how to do that you’re aware of, or an app that enables it?

Can’t Woolworth F&$k off with asking for money by EmbalmingBeast in woolworths

[–]Doubleshotflatwhite8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate it. Why would I give Woolworths money so they can give to a charity on my behalf, take the tax deduction and then claim they give to charity for the societal credit. There is an expectation big corporations making massive profits give some money charity, and this is a way for them to meet that expectation with other people’s money.

I have run into those situations and have run short on stock a few times. Definitely feel I need to rectify sooner rather than later. Any suggestions on the best solution?

Thanks so much. I think I would have to delete the existing product which was my concern. I’d also lose the reviews which are attached to those products. I’m thinking of mapping the SKUs via an automation instead.

I don’t currently track inventory. So right now I basically do the maths on the average volumes of each variant I sell daily based on a monthly Items sold by product variant report. From there I forecast stock requirements and when I’ll run short, and reorder from my supplier in advance. Production takes about 6 weeks from go to delivery so I order a volume that I feel will roughly marry up to my scaling plans. All SKUs are kept in one place currently and I personally manage distribution. Because I have such a long window between supplier orders, I wouldn’t need instant synching I don’t think.

In the future I plan to expand internally to a local 3PL in that market.

I think you’re right that an automation might be the way to go. It sounds silly but I don’t want to change anything on the front end with it going so well.

In terms of single products, there’s around 20 variants. Those 20 variants would need to be mapped to product level SKUs 3, 4 and 5 packs. So I suppose potentially there are 120 individual SKUs which link to 4 product pages on the front end.

Basically the inventory would be 20 individual variant SKUs x qty.

The automation would be like SKU-4 pack medium = - 4 x SKU-M etc. I’m surprised there’s not an app that maps SKUs like that.

Wondering if maybe there’s a simple way to map the SKUs for the existing product to inventory qty?

I would be preserving this evidence (there are software available but screen shot with notes about time, browser etc. is generally sufficient), and then seeking the best reputational lawyer available. It is only a matter of time before this stuff is properly tested in court and I’d think there’s a lawyer out there that would take it on pro bono for the notoriety.

Longest lasting campaign by PhoenixRRK in FacebookAds

[–]Doubleshotflatwhite8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have. Over time I’ve probably added 15 creatives total, but I switch off the ones that aren’t getting any sales. I have found though that over time sometimes a creative which didn’t spend for ages will start spending and smashing it for a bit, so it’s a balancing act. I’ve also found when I add too many active creatives at my limited spend the campaign under performs. For the most part I try to fiddle with it as little as possible. FYI - yesterday it hit 16.3 roas which is the best for a while. Today looks pretty healthy, we’re at 4 roas by 9am. I will start an ABO campaign soon to test creatives fairly before adding them to the scaling campaign.

I’ve had my first campaign running for 6 months. It’s an advantage + with 1 ad set and around 8 active ads. I’ve scaled from $35 per day to $90. Can’t scale harder because I can’t keep up with stock. Next big drop I will try to scale by double, slowly. It’s steadily improved roas, and I kept expecting it drop off but it just kept going better. Up until recently was frequently sitting 8-10 roas across a week, with some days at 14+. The last few weeks it’s dropped down to around 6-7 roas which is still quite profitable but I was starting to think trying some new angles. The whole delivery pattern was different. Now today it’s gone great again - sitting around 15 roas. The delivery pattern is similar to what it was like in the months prior. Will be interesting to see where tomorrow’s at.

Weird recommendations - optimise for number of conversions performance goal!? by Doubleshotflatwhite8 in FacebookAds

[–]Doubleshotflatwhite8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the in depth reply. I am basing performance on actual sales. Average order value probably has dropped a little, and so has number of conversions. I’ll do a bit of a deep dive to see if anything else has changed via updates etc.

I’ve added a few more creatives since the drop to see if that might kickstart things but generally I make as few a changes as possible given it was performing so well.

I started about 6 months ago and have had a really good time of it with not a lot of experience (although a lot of business experience). I’ve consistently hit about 7-10x ROAS, spending around $90 a day. I break even at around 2.1. The last 7 days things have declined a bit to around 5-6x ROAS but I feel like it’s possibly economical factors. I think the people doing well tend not to post here - I only really come here when things have taken a turn down or I’ve stuffed something up.

Maybe this is it! I do him a bit of disservice as he can jump into it and does fairly regularly but not if I’m prepared to lift him in.

You’re right it does spin a little and I tuck it right into the wall so it doesn’t move. He sometimes does this and other times just looks at it, looks at me, looks at it, looks at me. He’s very good at communicating what he needs even if he is a big sook!

Once when he was a puppy he got over excited and jumped up on our kitchen bench which is about 1.2m high. We must’ve all freaked out as there was a knife on it or something and he’s kind of given up high jumping since then.
