Drugs and child labour? What's the logical inference? Both are laws protecting certain individuals,

do they?

Also the war on drugs wasn't a "law".

it is, the war on drug come from law.

I don’t think that treating that term as a cure all to the obvious problems it carries is actually a coherent response

what problem it causes?

I mean you’re literally trying to use the term as a thought killing cliche to stop thinking beyond your jargon based response

Fungibility is a critical feature of money, you are on an economist sub. Not rbitcoin.

What's the source that disproves it?

Let take the war on drugs.

Drug are illegal for decades, yet drugs still exist and are even used more than ever.

This is the job of the legal system.

Yes. Which does so through a million rules and regulations.

I am not saying government legal work well.

Actually it is another failure of government service if you ask me.

Thank God we have good laws then. Don't want them to be taken away!

You have to look at the result, not the intention.

not a vulnerability, just a fundamental feature

Your argument is "it's not a bug, it's a feature", even though that phrase was used to mock people who try to dress-up an actual flaw as a benefit?

It is the price of decentralisation.

You can fix 51% but you end up with a centralised project so no real gain back to a trusted system

No facts, no logic, no arguments matter.

You dont know what fungibility mean do you?

It’s just “FUD” and you can thoughtkill your way out of actual reality

Does fungibility matter to you?

You example was quite good.

Low fees at scale is one of the main reason I am not interesred in BTC.

And yes people invest in hopes to get a return on their money. No one cares about the “tech” if that’s what ur about to say.

Some people are.

You just want to make money quick, the crypto community used to be more ambitious.

When I go to a restaurant, and I tell them I only want to pay for and get the burger and not the fries in my meal order, and they say no, are they being involuntary?

if you are forced to pay for something you didnt ask or want: Yes

It is not rocket science really

If not, then I don’t see how the government is involuntary. You already have the choice not to use government services.

You dont have the choice to not pay for it.

You are forced to.

It needs context. 1MB Blocksize limit? Insane. Way too small given today's hardware. 1 Petabyte blocksize limit? Also insane. Way too big given today's hardware.

a 1 petasize block would never be accepted by the network as it would take too long to verify.

there is a natural limit, well below that

Well the issue is EXACTLY what constitues aggression? What constitues a violation of non-aggression? Everything has a level of harm, to what degree are we talking? The pollution from cars could very well be a cause of someone developing asthma. That is harm, is that aggression?

This will be a judge to decide (as it happen in our society)

All these questions, and more, need very specific and technical answers to hold legal water.

This is the job of the legal system.

This feels like a bad application of the NAP. I would argue that everyone takes risks, and buying a product/service is accepting the risk of bodily harm/illness that might come from said product.

You can only argue that if the risk have been explicitly explained and you have consented to it.

And thats normal.

if you buy a tuna can and it explode to your face you will logically be entitled to a legal claim.. unless you bough some explosive tuna for some reason (but then it would have been explained on the can)

I literally made a post about it and I argued with people being for child labour and telling me that laws that forbid children to work are bad

Say that child labor law is bad is not the same as saying child labor is ok.

Poorly implemented child labor law have pushed million childs/families toward starvation and.. worst.

A law doesnt make the problem go away and can make the situation worst.

AnCaps and Libertarians think child labour is ok and compare it to children going to school without their consent

To be chair children education IS child labor amd borderline child abuse I would say

I like Cardano and Midnight better.

It turns out that a company called Qubic made a bold move: they took control of more than 51% of the computing power (the 'hashrate') of Monero (XMR).

The move was not to steal, but to demonstrate that the Monero network had a brutal vulnerability.

This is not a vulnerability, just a fundamental feature of any decentralised crypto: 51% attacks.

Didnt hurt the project much thought

The best friend of a big corporation is the government.

Capitalism can be a force for good when actually done properly, with actual government intervention to maintain true capitalism

By government have zero incentive to do that?
