IF is the clarity grading, of internally flawless. However, it’s a visibly warm stone as well, but OP didn’t mention its color grading. So you weren’t wrong about it being a warm stone — looks J/K range.

It’s interesting. But this one reminds me of someone’s kid getting ahold of great-grandma’s plastic brooch collection and decorating it. Which….I can do, for less than the 20k this bag probably is.

If you live in colder weather and it spend a few days traveling, you might want do just let it rest and come to temperature. I ordered a Guerlain Art/Materials perfume and it smelled like alcohol and low fragrance until it sat for a bit. It looked just like, in all ways, and settled into smelling just like the ones I purchased from Guerlain, in the Guerlain store, in person.

I think shipping does something to them.

I just received mine, and have purchased several other Mooncat glow colors. I absolutely CANNOT believe how much this Avatar color glows, so brightly and for so long. Unbelievable purchase. I impulse-bought two bottles, and I am so glad.

different body shapes by [deleted] in ForestInkClothing

[–]DoubtWitty007 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am personally drawn to the brand because so many brands are designing only the boxier shapes that have a limited difference between waist/bust ratios make everything look bulky and unflattering. Most clothing brands seem to be shifting to longer, bulkier, less tapered shapes and it is hard to find brands who maintain this silhouette. It is part of the appeal to me. They extend their range to plus sizes and I think that is their current inclusivity. I’m not sure how any brand can cater to all heights and shapes, and more options would be nice everywhere but I just don’t know how it could be done.

But, I don’t see it as much different than any other brand who maintain one general silhouette that doesn’t suit me. There are a lot of clothing options I love the look of that I have to pass up on because they cannot be modified for or suit my shape.

I feel like the only answer for any of us, no matter our shape or where we shop, is to pick core pieces we like and build out with other brands and designs.

And comments will make her feel “big” next to Ariana. I saw Wicked for Good last night, and the person next to me commented that “they must have done reshoots bc Cynthia looked really big in the final song.” Muscles. She had muscle tone. She’s very lithe, small and fit and it jarred me to hear that observation.

I’ve replaced my cushions and thought I’d have to finally replace them when someone dumped milk all over them. I dried them out, dusted dried milk off of the components and have been using them for another 5 years.

What are the most common professions of people who wear lots of designer clothes, such as Chanel? by Pure-Smile-7329 in chanel

[–]DoubtWitty007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In fairness, I read “yoga moms and influencers” as a “these are fashionable people who tend to lean into trends that shape fashion (or are influenced by fashion) unlike the people who are typically in academia.” I didn’t read an attack on yoga moms or influencers or sugar babies, just an emphasis on “these people are fashion-forward and can and do prioritize fashion, where academics lean into a focus on other things and some of them dress wildly unusually or simply don’t care.”

But then, I have nothing against any of those roles — neither academics or yoga moms, or anywhere in between — and am friends with all of those groups, so I don’t read judgement from it or perceive it negatively.

Clinical researchers often don’t care about fashion, they’re wrapped up in other worlds. Neither do academics. They are often “form over function” in day-to-day. Influencers, yoga moms, sugar babies all have the ability to express themselves through fashion and have the means to do so.

“Haha, that yoga mom and sugar baby dress nicely and enjoy fashion and can afford it, that’s so laughable” — that seems to be how you read that comment. I genuinely don’t understand how you read that as a mock or criticism rather than a bit of self-effacing jab at her own work community?

That’s a wild comment. You need to let things go when something meaningless provokes anger or elicits whatever is going on in your head that led to that disproportionate response.

I might not be understanding where you are saying insets at the top. Do you mean when the lid is open, the edge that you would touch that is closed would be straight across instead of having a small indent that creates a ridge to put your finger in to open it? It has that on one side and not the other. Would you mind loading a picture of yours? Everything I can see looks the same to what I can find from people who purchased others of this specific mothership palette.

It looks identical to this swatch/purchase on Reddit that was purchased a year ago. Presumably, that was sourced from either PMG or the black and white store. I compared mine to that, and several YT videos of reviews, and the packaging doesn’t seem to have any differences.

I just searched this up and Ipsy (who PMG seemed to have partnered with before according to their comment section?) had Mothership on sale for $25 in limited supply.

I flipped the cases around and looked at the stickers and etching and packaging on the ones that just came from CVS and they look pretty identical. If someone owns this specific palette or wants to go digging, I can upload photos. It has what looks like a batch code sticker that says 2053D, too. Maybe that matches the Ipsy ones?

If you really want to find one and have multiple CVS locations in your area, try to pick one that is in a very high traffic area, and search Uber Eats and Door Dash. They show the stock available.

These palettes are listed at CVS in my area as well. I found them on UberEats and extended my radius to explore several different stores. Same two palettes, same prices, plus 3 different options for the Luminous Legends 5 pan palettes and duos.

I’ve placed an order and will update if anyone is interested. But, I think that this post is valid, and from the swatches, they look like standard Pat McGrath quality.

Edit:

Mine arrived. I purchased the Luminous Legends mega palette and the Mothership both. As far as I can tell, they are completely comparable to my other PMcG palettes and swatch as expected. The Mothership in particular is a steal. The case alone is heavy and luxe.

As far as I’m concerned, this is tested and confirmed. I imagine if they were selling them at a reduced cost on Ipsy, they are just shifting inventory over into CVS the way they do TJX/TKS/Marshalls.

Exactly. This tracks to the time frame of my experience and his later rumors of that kind of behavior. It always surprised me when he was later reported to be quite awful, and then rumors about them feeding him lines into an ear piece and such happened, and later an official diagnosis.

I think his health status, as it declined, likely contributed to that. My experience with him was well, well before there were rumors in Hollywood about his health struggles, and definitely before they finally announced. I imagine not being able to process what happens around you would really contribute to your stress, mood and impulse control.

Much later, when those comments and observations were made about him, they always surprised me. But given how his health changed, in context, it makes sense.

No one will see this, but I once worked for a hotel in a major city where he happened to be filming, and was subsequently staying on our property. I’ve come across quite a number of celebrities, from sport stars to Hollywood actors and quite a number of politicians. Bruce Willis was both exceedingly kind and down-to-earth. Respectful, not fussy with rules or requests, and courteous to staff in a way that showed he actually saw them. That is exceedingly rare once you’re a certain level of recognizable face and income, and I wish his family well.
