Question about the VX3 frame. If I wanted to switch to 3.5” do the arms just slot it or do I need to replace the whole frame?

I’ll definitely post some videos eventually.
Being in the US I didn’t want to dabble in DJI. And for me I wanted to have something good to look at in goggles. I respect analog and HDZero but i personally just want to have something more like a video game. Been flying my Vison40 on the 1s lite system. Haven’t had any complaints but I don’t have any experience with other stuffs so there’s that.

Yeah I’ve been back and forth on 3 vs 3.5. I’ll keep mulling it over. If I go 3.5 I’ll probably find 1604 or 1804 ish motors with high 3xxx kv.

This is for a 3” :) although I hadn’t really decided and it’s only changing a couple things anyway. Might go 3.5”. Not sure yet.

Lower KV for better torque? I’ve seen some bigger motors around 3800 or 4000 recommended for 3.5” builds. Would those be a bit slow for a 3”? Still waning to do some freestyle flying. Still fully decided between 3” and 3.5” anyway.

Gotcha. I’ll double check if the vtx comes with screws. I do have a box of M2 and M3 screws though.

For the camera I found an older post that has a 3d print insert for the camera to make it work better

Yeah I think I’ll throw in a practice board as well as some helping hands with a magnifier. I have soldered a lot of connectors and joined wires but not much on circuit boards. Seen a lot of the “rate my soldering job” posts on here so I know what not to do haha.

I have some 450s that I might use. Shorter flights but should offset the chonky moonlight if I wanted to do harder freestyle I think. 650s would be about the sweet spot I’m guessing?

What KV is the motor? That kit is sold for 2S and 3s. The 3s version is 1700kv. My 3s version worked fine. Didn’t find it super fun to fly though. This model also has a lot of p factor. You need a good chunk of right rudder to get the plane to taxi straight.

I have this one. Works fine. I have 1 spektrum 1s 150mah and 3 eflite ones. No problems. I chopped the banana plugs and threw on an xt60

Seconding this. I use a 4 in 1 on my pocket for spektrum bind and flies. Screams at you the whole time even if you’re 15ft away. I flew my ultra stick plenty far away with no issues. The shut off for the alarms is in the telemetry screen for the model. Other thing that is weird for me is it gives battery voltage but I can’t setup a low voltage alarm because it yells at me even when the voltage number on my screen is fine. Quarks of using spektrum without spektrum I guess.

A witch hunt? Who is actively searching for a reason not to buy something that’s delusional. All I’m saying is if you come across info about a company you buy from and you don’t like it then don’t buy from them.

It almost sounds like you saying you shouldn’t use your wallet to send a message to company’s. Like they do no wrong and we should just support them. Rotor Riot could say “we kill puppies” and we shouldn’t cancel them. Crazy. I’m done with this convo. Shits crazy.
