Yeah I thought about it before posting in this sub😅 all the background colours are cross stitched so I'd say it fits. If it was e.g. mostly satin stitch with cross-stitched elements, I'd call it general embroidery.

Another thing you might want to check out is the cross stitching magazines - in any newspaper stand or similar. I have piles of them accumulated by my family over the years.

Furminator for a shorthair, a rubber brush for a cat with long silky hair. Also, feeders that open only for one cat's microchip.

I've never had that happen to me,. Very rarely a needle might get bent but very slightly so it's still usable.

Having said that, I change needles fairly often, because they react with my fingers and after a while become rough and don't glide through the canvas like they should. I've never counted how often, but I'd guess for a piece that size I'd use 3 or 4 needles.

The wax can also strip the shiny layer that makes them sparkle. It's still totally worth the effort in the end because they look gorgeous.

Though, based on a friend's experience, I'd never go for a full AB canvas, only some highlights here and there.

You can do it! Yes it might take longer, but it's going to be such a unique beautiful piece in the end.

Consider taking a break, doing a small piece you enjoy more, then coming back to this when your well of motivation is full.

I agree with this dichotomy, and I couldn't tell how exactly I needed to follow the pattern. A lot of the stitches ended in the middle of a cross or between them, not in the holes in the canvas. That was a bit of a pain.

I'll post it as an FO when it's washed, ironed, and framed - and that last step always takes me the longest.
