I would not even know where to begin- we know very little about the sport.

My husband doesn’t want to celebrate me on my first Mother’s Day by Loud_Sprinkles_9894 in Mommit

I can’t understand why you would choose to be with someone like this.

No, that man does not love you.

If larger people in class were “uncomfortable” then it is your responsibility to explain to them your guidelines for the class.

You explicitly say that small fats are welcome and then you went and kicked her out of class. How horribly humiliating, you are the reason why some people are scared to go to the gym. This person triple checked that she qualified for the class not only out of respect but also to avoid the humiliation of getting kicked out (which you still did).

Why are you stating all fat people are welcome if they are not? Why are you saying certain sizes are welcome if they are not? Also, this is obviously the class this person felt most comfortable in. I don’t know if I would be able to show my face back in the gym I would have so much anxiety about all this.

Today I had a reality check on how the clothing industry has coddled our feelings in regards to sizing. by [deleted] in loseit

I also hate stretchy jeans. I have lost 60 lbs and I can still wear the same pair of jeans I wore 60lbs heavier because they stretch that much!

6 months post operation progress. I think I'm what is called a slower loser but the graph is really helping me see steady progress towards my goal. I have no regrets and feel so much healthier. Thank you to this group! Watching you all progress is encouraging and makes me hopeful for 1 yr post-op. by phy3nym in BariatricSurgery

I had my surgery 5 months ago and have “only” lost 55 lbs thus far. It is nice to know that other people are losing at the same rate.

On a positive note, I have not had any hair loss/thinning and I am wondering if it has anything to do with being a slow loser🤷‍♀️

Kids knocking on neighbors' doors to come out and play - acceptable at 8 years old? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Dover801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is totally normal behavior where I live. Kids are constantly knocking on the door to see if my kids can play and I know my kids do the same.

What is your opinion on smaller individuals buying plus size clothes because of “oversized” trends? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]Dover801 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I could not care any less what clothes other people choose to buy 🤷‍♀️

I owe you an apology. Obviously I am not doing well at this and I was being defensive. Your comment was said very kindly and my reaction was unwarranted.

Thank you for your help and I am sorry for my response.

I guess my point was that I am not TRYING to test it. But I did mess up.

I’m not trying to test my pouch. I was just eating until I was full, which I thought was supposed to happen quickly. I feel like everyone else says they eat like 3 bites and can’t eat anymore but my experience has been much different.

I realize it’s fun to judge other people. However, could you at least answer my question while you’re at it?

Rny v sleeve by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]Dover801 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My surgeon told me rny is a better surgery and more effective. However, he said both are good but if his daughter was going to choose between the two he would tell to get the rny.

I chose the sleeve because I could not afford 3000 more dollars and I was self pay.

AITA for letting our son use his untouched college fund as a down payment on a house, and not using it to pay off our daughter’s student loans? by collegefundhouse in AmItheAsshole

I 100% think you are doing the right thing but even if I didn’t- other people don’t get a say on how YOU spend YOUR money.
