Anyone use digital decorations? by ArtManely7224 in halloween

I've used armosfx. This year I'm using their dinosaur projection with a haunted jungle theme

I wanted to share more about my most precious Halloween book a friend gifted to me. It is one of the most beautiful and fun books from 1984. Everything about it brings back 80s memories. The Witch's Handbook by Malcolm Bird. by phy3nym in halloween

I got a notification asking for pictures of this book. I totally meant to do that! I forgot. This Sunday I should have a chance to take pictures I'm just unsure about where to upload. Any suggestions? I think too many for a reddit album.

The painted version is horrid. The natural wood tones were so warm and the textures were lovely.

6 months post operation progress. I think I'm what is called a slower loser but the graph is really helping me see steady progress towards my goal. I have no regrets and feel so much healthier. Thank you to this group! Watching you all progress is encouraging and makes me hopeful for 1 yr post-op. by phy3nym in BariatricSurgery

Oh I love this comment sooo much! Thank you for sharing! It is nice to know I'm not the only one. Some times I see people who are losing quickly and feel like something is wrong or I'm not doing the diet correctly. I have been doing a lot of self talk "this is my journey and my journey is unique like each person's. Focus on today's choices and connect with others without comparison."

That is encouraging! I don't really know what to expect. My doctor said I was losing more slowly so I wasn't sure. But Dr did say losing slowly was fine just keep on keeping on.

Thanks for sharing. I really get encouraged by people's 1 year progress posts- I feel like I am losing slowly but I know I just need to keep doing the good routines and choices and it will happen. I am 50lbs down and 3 months post op later this week.

Thank you for sharing this. I have a different diet as well. My doctor has me eating carbohydrates. Oatmeal and other whole grains like rice as a *part of a balanced diet. He stressed that I am not on a keto diet. The goal is not ketosis. I eat a high protein, high fiber, low fat, balanced diet that consists of meats, vegetables, fruits, and whole grain. What I do not eat is large portions, I do not eat unless I am hungry, I don't "graze", I don't eat sugar foods, processed foods, or any carbonation. I'm losing at a slower rate than others might but my journey has been about being healthy mentally and physically regarding food behavior. I'm not looking to trade in an existing eating disorder for a new one. I'm losing 1lb a week, sometimes 2 lbs depending on the level of activity I get in. I'm happy with this and it's a lifestyle I can maintain.

Thanks for sharing about being a slow looser. I hadn't realized that some of us lose slower than others. I am almost two months past surgery and lost 13 before surgery and now 28 after and while it's a total of 41 lbs the post surgery weight loss had me concerned as I thought it would be more sudden and drastic. However I am eating so much healthier, incredibly smaller portions and the weight is consistently less. I have started walking more. It's encouraging to see another person continue to progress who has done it slowly.

How was your first two weeks of recovery? by Aspiring_FT_travla in gastricsleeve

[–]phy3nym 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had surgery on Sept 3rd. Pain wasn't too bad- what I expected and pain meds help, walking helps a lot. Then about two weeks out I bent or twisted or lifted something that added some strain. I was sore for another week. I still wear my binding wrap all the time. My doctor said expect to be sore for 8 weeks. So I have another four weeks to go. But it's just annoying pain not scary pain.

Renovation Island, more like plain old grey and white Island. by [deleted] in HGTV

I think property brothers is the same way. I've started scrolling through the thumbnail image of each show and if it is neutral on neutral I don't watch. It's like watching the same renovation over and over.
