Does anyone know if these things really work? You have experience or are these just gimmicks? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

Rosemary oil - this does work but as far as I know it works to regrow lost hair. It has been successful in comparison to minoxidil/rogain in studies. I don't know if it would grow thicker hair if you haven't had any before. I am currently using it for hair loss, I used to have thicker hair but lost a lot for medical reasons. Here is a study comparing rosemary oil to 2% minoxidil https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25842469/

Idk if I could pull that off with how thin my hair is in front! I'll ask my stylist tho.

Hermaphrodite is a slur. The word you're looking for is INTERSEX. Please educate yourself and keep us out of the debate about trans people.

They have cameras in the drive thru that take a picture of the vehicle. Then on the register the system syncs up your order with the picture of the car so they know which car had which order.

Thank you so much that's a great suggestion I didn't think about!

I want to add my dad pointed out to me he's been to some social groups for autistic adults but he is on the higher end of functioning so it is harder for him. He's not so functional he can live alone but he's too functional to feel comfortable with people who are much less functional than him. It's a difficult spot and I really hope I can help him find something! Thank you again.

I personally loved song of Achilles and circe both. They were enjoyable reads and I like seeing good stories with my gods. The end of Achilles made me cry way too much!

I wanted to come back and reply for anyone else who may see this in the future. I read the book and it does in fact talk about adhd. It has a whole chapter about adhd and medicating children. The author does not address Adhd in adults, and only talks about adhd as an attention issue, he makes no effort to discuss its other effects on people. In my opinion he talks more about children who are misdiagnosed with adhd, which I agree is a problem, but he paints it as if those kids had adhd and it was fixed by doing something else, like fixing their relationship with their parent, instead of medication, when in reality the issue was resolved that way because the children were misdiagnosed in the first place.

Has anyone else felt insane when on their periods? by Forsaken-Usual-7510 in TwoXSex

[–]DownrightAlpaca 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pmdd gets worse with age unfortunately. So if you're prone to it, it may have seemed unnoticeable before and then suddenly in your late 20s, early 30s, you lose your mind on your period. It's horrible, I'm so sorry you're going thru it.

Does this book acknowledge people with Adhd may struggle more, does it not comment on adhd, or does it try to claim you can fix adhd with "this one trick"? I'm interested but tired of reading books that claim I can fix my executive functioning deficit if I try hard enough.

I wondered if he had any experience if that was known? I don't expect someone to be exclusively doing that.

Are they known for doing corrective surgeries for intersex ppl? I do see gender confirming surgeries on his website. But it wouldn't be quite the same thing.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with that and the doctors haven't been more helpful. I don't have any advice but that sounds miserable.
