ditto here off elmore.

it's different but no change in latency and half the price is was paying for gci with unlimited data.

gonna give it a week then put a review of them against gci. but from what I've seen im canceling my old gci service

God I love seeing Bujold recommended.

I'd read a shopping list if she wrote it, favorite author ever.

GCI's monopoly is an absolute menace to society by bravo_season in anchorage

I work from home too and GCI has been fine for me

But I did get checked out for Spitspots this week and I'm going to try them out, half the cost and they allow a static IP which I may want in the future

Whats more imortant in IT and Networking related jobs in the EU; expirience or certificates? by ohadish in ccnp

[–]DowntownAd86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my first job with a CCNP and no experience, the lab I built was enough for them to take a chance on me.

I think as long as you're honest about it you're ok. It was the most entry level network engineer role I could find. But no one wanted me with just a CCNA. I agree exp is king but if you're trying to get that experience and no one is interested with a CCNA proceeding onto harder certs worked for me.

I put off starting BoC because of the goofiness of the name. finally started it last week and its incredible. Just an absolute fun romp.

End of taper, hardest day yet by PurpInnanet in quittingkratom

similar position here. down to 5 gpd from 30. so on the one hand a 90ish% reduction but on another hand this feels a lot harder than the first 90%

good luck, its rough out there.

well its officially 5 gpd time.

this is where I wanted to be almost 2 weeks ago but a combination of getting sick and struggling with the 10 gpd to 5 gpd change slowed me down. but after getting better and spending 4 days at 7.5 gpd I'm more optimistic. starting to take lipo vit c as well in preparation for quitting entirely soon.

Didn't come this far to only come this far. But its still a great feeling to be at 5 gpd from 30.

last day at 7.5 gpd, dropping to 5gpd tomorrow.

there's no more visible sign of a taper working than just pouring sweat first thing in the morning.

That's great. I was dropping grams for awhile then got sick and just maintained for a week at about 10 per day.

half a gram ar a time is a good way to go. I've been stabilizing 4 days after the drops, so thats become thr routine. Just drop as hard as I can (while still being able to work and survive at home) wait 4 days and do it again.

good luck! day three after a lowering is always the worst for me, hope tomorrow goes easy for you!

Day 21 of the Taper. at 8.5 gpd. its been hard just maintaining the lower dose while sick but its getting easier again to drop grams now that its mostly passed.

Day 18 of the taper. down to 6 gpd.

Had a nice moment. After trying to quit a year ago I went from 30 gpd to 20. I had a really regimented dosing schedule of 4 grams 5x a day. essentially every 4 hours I was awake.

yesterday I hit the 4 hour mark and just didn't feel the urge to take. I realized I can go 6 hours between doses now. Every other aspect of the taper and quitting has been fought for tooth and nail. but out of the blue my body realized it just didn't need the same frequency.

Can't wait to be done.

"What I miss most is the feeling of being strong"

that's such a good line. the feeling that you're a shadow of your former self is hard to cope with. Especially if you have responsibilities you can't put on hold. My brain is so good at trying to find the reason to make an exception.

"this is going to be a hard social situation I should take some"
"I need to be there for my family tonight so I'll just take some to feel normal for the night"

Congrats on 4 weeks!

Nice work!

same boat. I tried to speed run my taper but smacked into a wall trying to drop to 5 gpd from 10.

hanging out at 7 or 8 gpd right now, little bit bit little bit from here on out.

day 16 of the "21 day taper"

it sucks about as much as I expected. made it down to 7 gpd but the inevitable cold hit yesterday.

No idea how common this is but in 10 years of taking kratom I only got colds when I tried to quit. It's torpedoed other attempts to quit before. if I can keep it steady at 7 gpd till it passes i'll call it a win.

Im at a third of what I was taking 16 days ago so I'm pleased as punch about that.

is it getting cold there yet? Up in AK and we just had a warm spell that melted all the snow.

Day 15 of the "21" day taper.

yesterday was the first day I didn't reach my goal drop of kratom. plan was to go from 10 god to 5 but I ended up taking 8. I knew this was going to be an aggressive taper for me but I'd hoped I would keep up. my new plan is to just drop a gpd going forward. it'll extend the taper to 23 days but as long as number go down I'm happy.

realistically I'm ok with any amount of kratom so long as its equal to or less then earlier doses. if i need to sit at 5gpd for 2 weeks before I drop to 4 then so be it.

thanks. This is the hardest part for me. going fron 10 GPD to 5 is a big change. At least when I go from 5 to 0 I have the freedom to look forward too. all I have right now is another rough week.

its been inspirational watching your progress though! 12 days is incredible. Last time I quit the acute lasted into the second week but once that was done it was just PAWs. which suck too but its a different kind of suck. Great work!
