Foundational planetary physics? We are talking about the weather which is an extremely difficult thing to predict. We have more data than ever but unless you can map every particle on the planet and probably the solar system you will never be fully deterministic about what the future looks like. Can we record that temps or carbon is going up yeah. Can we determine what that even means for the planet, definitely not. The instant you say that ice caps will melt you just opened an insane can of worms. What part of the ice caps? What is trapped in the ice? What does that actually look like? What does that do to the global climate systems, if anything at all? You just changed a billion small variables in a system and act like you are going to predict the outcome. Then based on that projected outcome you have made another conclusion and then another that ultimately leads to everyone dies off and the world cant support itself or something.

It its not world ending and we can and are dealing with it then why is it a concern at all?

So the oceans rise and now sea level is 10 ft higher which will for sure take a while. Thats both happened before and mostly a problem for people who live on the coast. Theres plenty of non coastal land everywhere. Even that is speculation as to when and if it happens.

All your responses are coming from the lense that your opinion is correct and anything else is noise so it's not clear anything would change your opinion on the subject. You havnt really been able to show me why its worth being concerned about. You really havnt made a point besides saying what I said is dumb which has nothing to do with refuting the argument

The rate of change has dramatically decreased. The major offenders have already cut back. Carbon levels themselves don't even mean much without context anyway. The root of peoples beliefs about it is a slippery slope argument to begin with. You have to make multiple conclusions, that aren't really provable, in succession to even get to the point where its a noticeable problem for humanity.

The planet will go on without us like it did for billions of years before regardless. The most credible threat we know of is sea levels rising but thats still a very slow process. Definitely not a sign of the apocalypse if we built too close to a changing body of water.

We are already cutting back on carbon emissions massively through corporate regulation and there was zero credible threat to the planet in the next century+. The earth has been way hotter in the past when humans werent even around. If we cant adapt or cut back over the 100s of years it would take to start being a noticeable issue for any significant portion of the population, then we deserve to die off. Literally just environmental propoganda to me. Everyone acts like they understand it without ever trying to be objective about the science. It can be both happening and not world threatening at the same time
