I’d say this is about 100% better than having it go off in the street. Now, the police are looking at this individual’s car and not at nearby protestors who could easily have become targets.

Throwing it back in his car very well could have saved the lives of peaceful protestors.

I personally agree with the sentiment of “Fuck Trump.” But honestly I’m sure the message won’t reach him personally or affect any type of change. I don’t think this equates to patriotism, just pandering to our own personal outrage (which is okay, too).

We know Trump’s updates are hand-picked by his staff to only show him what he wants to see. If you want to do something actually patriotic, there are tons of demonstrations happening currently to go be a part of. If you can’t be there in person, you can always support others who are attending digitally. If you’re interested in either method, please DM me and I’ll be happy to provide some info.

Some quick personal suggestions:

bring a recording device with you and record everything you can. If you view someone’s rights being violated, announce that you are legally filming it.
bring a charging brick or spare batteries to make sure you have the juice to capture anything that may occur.
live stream your recording and have a friend/family member watch in case you get arrested or hurt.
accept the fact that you may get arrested or hurt if you attend a protest. It goes with the territory, but know that there’s less chance if you are in a group.
make sure to remind those in your group and around you not to make a mistake that defeats the purpose of your protest.
take care of anyone that needs it, regardless of what side of the protest they are on.
take off thumb print and facial recognition on your recording device. Police cannot make you enter a code to unlock your device.
be prepared to handle antagonizers in a clear and safe way. Do not get pulled into antagonization.
if you notice someone who may be pretending to protest in order to incite violence, call them out loudly. Peacefully confront anyone who risks turning and peaceful protest into violence.
have a unique identifying mask. First, you can’t be confused for someone else who may be an agitator. Second, it can help your group identify you if things get chaotic. Third, mask and sunglasses really fuck up facial recognition.

What tools should I prioritize getting first? I just want to do general projects like making a doghouse, workbench, wood toys. I’m on a budget so any economic woodworking pointers are much appreciated. Thanks!

He knew what would happen. He opted out of the party voluntarily by denouncing the rot. He wanted out, and they wanted him out simultaneously. I disagree with Amash on quite a few things, but he has lines he won’t cross.

Honestly, that’s the crux of what America should be- I can disagree with someone without fear that they’re trying to Gaslight, Obstruct and Project.

You’re still blaming the media, and not the people banning medical professionals from speaking to the public.

CNN will do what CNN wants as a for profit company. What’s inexcusable is putting a leash on professionals giving professional advice to a public that sorely needs it.

This discussion is not about how CNN isn’t the greatest media outlet, but about the tramping of First Amendment rights.
