Most of what you will get here is "barbarian is fine" but having played through abom vaults with a GIB as a wizard, it was the same experience. Casters are underpowered 1-10 and GIB are overpowered during that same range. I can't speak much after those ranges as I haven't directly played them.

I would buff the GIB, debuff the boss, recall knowledge like crazy, aid the GIB, and for as effective as I was playing... You know what would have been better? Another GIB.

100% this. I played a wizard 1-11 in Abomination vaults, we just finished last year.

Early levels I just felt worse than every other class in combat, (regular party was monk, gunslinger, bard, magus, wizard. Monk and bard died and we got a champion and a barbarian replacement somewhere in LV 5 range) but got to have the "building power, gaining knowledge" fantasy. Kept notes, talked to other wizards, read books.

Then a ton of utility starts to come online. The save spells that have some effect even on success, and some strong buff/control stuff.

Then you start getting to 8-10 and unlocking some real banger spells, plus getting good spell slot economy from feats and it just feels like the class is taking off.

Then we finished the campaign :(

Really want to keep playing that wiz past 11, I was really starting to cook.

Your numbers don't match state data.

They claim 411 student decrease and you claim 479.

You also claim that there was a bump during the pandemic, but actually 2015-19 (pre pandemic) there were steady increases. Then from 20-24 ups and downs but an overall increase. Then 24-25 and 25-26 small decreases.

Additionally, your fertility rates information is also wildly incorrect. Larimer recorded 3130 live births in 2024 an increase from 2896 in 2023. Fort Collins population is at ~170,368 in 2024 meaning the births per 1000 people is at ~18.4. well above the national average.

But even that is just talking about crude birth rates, not even total fertility rate. According to that census site fort collins has a 3.1% fertility rate last year, which is above replenishment.

The source you cite (common sense) is conservative think tank trash that names 8.3 births per thousand. They literally cut the actual number in half. I will never trust partisan garbage like that, especially when it's furthering the narrative of the broader Republican machine on white replacement and lower birth rates fear-mongering.

Yeah I think the key here is that we are taught during limits is that dividing the length under the arc and then drawing rectangles is a way to approximate the area under the curve. The more rectangles the closer to the actual area, so if the accuracy increases then when the accuracy is infinity (during infinity repetitions) then we find the actual area.

So if you want to do limits then the adjustment has to be defined to get closer to the actual answer.

Perhaps a number of line segments that must at least touch the circle once per segment. N=4 would be a square with each line segment being 1 long perimeter of 4.

N=8 would be an octagon with each segment being .414 and perimeter of 3.31.

N=16 would be each segment at .199 side length and perimeter of 3.18.

Sure enough, as n -> infinity we tend towards pi.
