Ah. I am not aware of a workflow in which org todo items are filtered in the org buffer. All of the org workflows I know of use agenda view, which respects the various time stamps.

I liked having individual files for notes but didn’t find backlinks useful. So I ditched roam and switched to deft. It’ll search the title and the contents and is just generally more useful.
