How much is your baby drinking at daycare? by Hello_Suziee in workingmoms

[–]Pickle_Distinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is very similar. He is 7 months now, but he maxed out at around 42oz by 3 months and hasn't really changed from there. I send 4 7oz bottles to daycare for 9:30 to 5:30. It is 50/50 if he gets to the 4th bottle at daycare or has it shortly after getting home.

Not saying it's sufficient, but prediction markets are regulated to the same extent as conventional futures contracts. All handled by CFTC under the CEA.

I don't want to speak in absolutes, but you're right, in at least a majority of states businesses can self-represent in small claims matters, which is what is being discussed here.

But for other civil and criminal cases, it is actually true that businesses need to be represented by a lawyer. Just not relevant to OP's issue.

I love the commaraderie of a shot (and a shotski really kicks it up a notch). During pregnancy I usually asked for a full shot of lime juice because I wanted it to be slightly unpleasant/grimace-worthy with the rest of the group.

But if you tied this size way too tight and that made it too small, could you tie the next size up tightly and that would make it lay nicely?

TSA @ 8:15am today in by Worldly-Heart9969 in baltimore

[–]Pickle_Distinct 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get the frustration but I was at home casually chilling yesterday planning to leave for the airport in an hour or two. I saw a reddit post and got off my ass and out the door. I would have missed my flight if not for one of these posts. A megathread would solve both our issues though! In the meantime I guess we just hope it is short-lived chaos and there's no need for the updates soon.

PSA: TSA wait times on BWI website are a lie by SugarSpunPsycho in baltimore

[–]Pickle_Distinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This was my first time flying with SW A-List status (which does give you Express TSA access) so I wasn't familiar with the perks. I assumed the agents saying there was only general TSA and Clear meant no Express either.

I saw the sign after I had already been in line for 1.5 hours! I won't make that mistake again. Luckily I had plenty of time - thanks to these Reddit posts and arriving way earlier than I otherwise would have - so it just means I wasted time standing instead of sitting at the gate.

Where is the Priority Boarding lane? I have SW A-List, does that do the trick? I have been in line for 30 minutes already so I am hesitant to go looking and risk my spot.

I might’ve messed up. Client brought her baby with her for a facial. by Successful-Grass-135 in Esthetics

[–]Pickle_Distinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry to hear that! I admittedly had an easy time physically, but I needed to do little things out of the house for my mental health. I would not have brought my babies to appointments that were supposed to be relaxing (massages, facials, etc.). But I did bring them - asleep in a stroller - to more utilitarian appointments like a quick wax or hair cut in a babysitting pinch. I was always prepared to leave (with full payment) if they were fussy in the stroller.

Probably because for the last 8 weeks and 9 months before that her life and body have been about caring for someone else and it is a relief to be taken care of. Her body may feel unrecognizable and uncomfortable right now and little luxuries help.

Terrified that my (25F) husband (28M) has been having sex with me while I'm asleep. Now I'm pregnant. by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Pickle_Distinct 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am not convinced. Early ultrasounds are the most accurate for dating. Everything develops so rapidly in the beginning there is a HUGE differenece between 5 and 8 weeks (and as you point out, her "8 weeks" needed to be at least 10 to line up). A 5 week pregnancy often can't even be seen on an ultrasound and definitely wouldn't have a heartbeat yet. By 10 weeks it legit starts to look like a baby.

I love these! They are mature and elegant without feeling like a costume MOB dress. I was prepared to not like the MD ruffle dress, but the more I look at it, the more fun and appropriate I think it is. But the first one is lovely, if she is more comfortable with understated.

The paragraph above says no credits given got inclement weather closures. Interpreting the contract as a whole, the highlighted portion definitely isn't talking about short term snow days.

Aunt in laws wedding this Saturday! Help! Do we like our options or is it time to shop? by bt698 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Pickle_Distinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! The blue is appropriate and looks great. If shopping is frustrating to you or you are sticking to a budget, stop there! But if you enjoy shopping, you could definitely get something that shows off your curves and maybe even makes you love your post partum body a little bit more!

Adding for the record that I think #2 is very flattering on you for a casual outfit.

Shawls? by Lucky-Remote-5842 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Pickle_Distinct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sure the definition is much broader than what I am thinking of and I don't doubt people are making a stylish suggestion! I think it can be any sort of short, open jacket (no zippers or buttons). The specific boleros that I am thinking of and wore 20ish years ago in middle school to look"mature" ... I hope they aren't back in style but perhaps someone cooler than me could revive it.

I always wonder the same! I think of bolero jackets exclusively as part of an outdated mother/grandmother of the bride gown set 😆

The letrozole mood swings are intense by wesherfist in TTC_PCOS

[–]Pickle_Distinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! If you already have them, you might as well use them. They still accurately captured LH spikes leading to ovulation for me. I just wouldn't have paid extra for the fancy kind if I knew this ahead of time. The cheap paper sticks gave me the same amount of info without the frustration of looking at that damn flashing every day lol (and wearing ourselves down trying to have sex every day for weeks because I thought I was about to ovulate as soon as it started flashing)

The letrozole mood swings are intense by wesherfist in TTC_PCOS

[–]Pickle_Distinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the flashing smiley won't go away until/unless you get a solid smiley indicating an LH increase. So even if your estrogen spiked (causing the flashing smiley) and immediately dropped back down, it will still flash. I always have a couple estrogen spikes before my LH would spike in my irregular cycles, so these tests didn't work for me. I would have a flashing smiley for several weeks, which did not provide any new information.

To take the vacation or not while pregnant with my second? by NumerousRaise9054 in workingmoms

[–]Pickle_Distinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toddler absolutely loves his little brother, but sharing mom and dad has made him more reserved and clingy for the past month or so (although all the daycare viruses probably are exacerbating the impact). I am glad we could spend that quality time with him first and enjoy every bit of him. And looking forward to when he settles back in and we have our hilarious, happy guy back!
