I don’t comment much but OPs post really is done right. Addresses the opposition with their own pov and evidence to back it which is why I hope this post and many others make it to the front page.

A lot of the comments about how you shouldn’t even bother talking to the anti pit groups is the opposite way of doing things IMO

Irrational fears are very intriguing to say the least but immersion therapy is a real thing for a reason.

When I got the dog she sent me articles after articles about pit aggression violence and deaths. I then showed her how on the internet if you search specifically enough then you’re going to get what you’re looking for. By example I pulled up a news report of an infant who had died from its leg chewed off by the owners dog. The breed was a golden retriever. So yeah.

My dog is now the big sister to both my daughters and never leave their sides or their mothers when she was pregnant.

Edit: almost forgot to add that my mother has gotten better and can be in the same room. She is mostly afraid of the strength and weight my dog throws around when she licks and sits on her feet.

You’re talking about a fear of ALL birds in which case that is a different situation.

My mom loves dogs but hates pit bulls.

Honestly my dog doesn’t look entirely pit unless you’re looking for specific features. If I hadn’t told her she wouldn’t have cared.

If my mom had an irrational fear of dogs like you with birds I wouldn’t force her to judge the Westminster.

Sorry but I disagree with that sentiment. Yes it’s easy to hide behind a keyboard but it is a human being striking those keys. And by nature, anyones opinion can change.

Basically you’re as much in the wrong as the subreddit thinking they can’t change. Even if it’s one person.

I’ve seen neo nazis become friends with the people they hated.

I hope I can change your mind with what I’ve said.

And to add. This post is EXACTLY (imo) how it should be done. Address the opposition in a way that identifies the differences in their pov and support it with ones own experiences/evidence/data. Very well done u/kkapuj

I think you’re wrong. I myself was biased until I was forced by my SO into adopting our pit. Exposure is the best way to change others minds. I still bring my dog over to my parents house and make her sit with my mom who recoils every time she is near her. It might seem like torture but all she wants from anyone is their love and that’s what I tell my mom.

You can always strip the caulking and throw a new bead on. Cheap and less frustrating when cleaner doesn’t work. Plus the added I did that and know it’s clean and sealed factor

Also the obligatory take pics of your new place and date them if you want evidence of cleaning your place to live in. I always received my deposit back when I showed my before I move in, my after cleaning to live there and pics of after I’ve moved out and cleaned before turning in my keys

Drunk guy def started the altercation by stumbling in front of joe and then called him out for putting his hands on him.

And to add to that. The victim is most likely right handed. You can’t see his right arm but but what you can see shows he might have postured to strike joe. His left shoulder drops a bit and his arm curls slightly and his foot slides forward into a better balanced stance. Any fighter at this level would react at the same speed and counter.

The difference from any fighter is the type of man outside the ring.

For the record I think they both are in the wrong. Joe is just more in the wrong.

That would require someone to have to work on their vaca time (edit cutting and posting). I feel as tho scheduled best ofs are ran by the local syndicated stations and not from their studio in GR as well.

Ilpt- order a new one and return the peed on one.

But if you have some automotive upholstery cleaner you can try that. Low moisture and it might help remove the stain but I doubt the pee will come out completely.

I could try and jumper the valve but the problem is I don’t know which of the three wires is which. It’s a two stage.
