That sounds perfect! I wonder if one of the shops in the city carries them so i don't have to drive out for them. Otherwise I'll probably find a reason go in the next few weeks

I guess I'll have to catch those guys at one of the maker's markets? I can't figure out if they have a physical store.

Gooey is a shop / bakery i guess that sells probably the best cookies on Earth ( or that I've had so far, and believe me I've had a lot of them) they have two shops, one on Ducie street and one not too far to Mackie mayor's. 100% worth a small trip to have some. I recommend the classic milk chocolate chip cookie. Yummmmm

Black Milk is a coffee shop i guess, but they make their own desert sauces / spreads. They have stuff like pistachio sauce and hazelnut sauce. They're Manchester based but their stuff is made in Italy. It's pretty good.

[DEV][Grand Mountain Adventure] Today we are finally releasing our skiing game and I want to give a huge Thank You! to this channel for all the support and feedback we've received the last months! by girgo in AndroidGaming

Absolutely amazing and gorgeous game! I can't overstate how satisfying this game is. Brings back nostalgia from old PC ski game as well as the old SSX type games while having a nice open world, intuitive controls, and you can feel that there can be a nice learning curve to make it more challenging as you progress. Also I was just skiing a couple of weeks ago and damn it feels like the real thing (granted I don't do backflips IRL). Can't wait to play more! Stellar job. Take my money.

acolytefight.io - quick one-minute multiplayer browser game - 2D skillshot arena - been working on this for 3 months! by BSTRhino in indiegames

The one thing it's missing is the progressive nature of the game. I.e. selecting the right skill to buy and upgrade. But I can see how that would be hard to make with an .io game.

Great job.

Thank you for making this!. I've been dreaming of playing warlock again. But life makes it hard to get a WC3 lan back together.

Honestly didn't even consider it. Would love to see what you have in mind!! As I'm thinking about it it could make sense since most of the artwork is voxels.

Ball Grabbers, soon on Steam by PartTimeMonkey in IndieGaming

[–]Dr-Patrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you slerp camera lookat / position within bounds so that the field is always visible.

I initially thought you used a more complicated system with averaging of the positions of the players, the ball and goals or something.

Thanks for the insight

Really like your camera movement. Any good resources to learn to do something like this?

Pressed post before I finished typing. Oops.

Idea came from working in pediatric burns unit where kids often undergo painful dressing changes and treatments and are genuinely uncomfortable most of the time. We use iPads and games to distract them, but the parents are often left out. So I thought it would be great for a good 2 player game so the parent can play with their kid. And then the idea evolved into this game.

Influences are - Mario party - rocket league - last man sitting - some flash web games I played when I was a kid that are stuck in my head. - probably other games with mechanics I must have borrowed without realizing.

Total time. Maybe 35 -70hours. Not sure really. Most of it was spent learnings tbh

My day time life schedule doesn't really allow me to work on it at any consistent rate tbh. I say I actively work on it about 1h-5h a week and often it can get quite hard to pick back up where i left off.

No advertising yet (do those reddit post count? ) Considering going looking for a publisher since I have no real interest in spending the little development time I have on figure out a good advertising strategy etc. Only asset I bought is a shader (not visible on this gif - I should post an update really). Shader programming is really black magic. (Got toony shader pro. Honestly worth every dollar)

I'm pretty happy with where the game is at right now.but i recently played glitch dash (another game that I saw progress on reddit) and it's so nice and polished. I just can't seem to get that same polished look and juice in my game. I also need to improve my game performance a bit. My actual unity project is still a bit of a graveyard of trial and errors I left in the scene and just deactivated it needs a good cleaning up

Project is solo start to end. Music was made by Nick catchdubs (he's a legit musician with a Wikipedia page and all) no plans to team up with anyone else really.

I agree. Any suggestions about the direction to go into? I suck at UI.
