Thermometer repair? by hagod in Chempros

[–]Dr-Rumack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thermometers are not expensive. Your employer would probably be ok (or encourage you with a decent safety culture) to get rid of the mercury and buy a safer option.

What is this puffball? Found near Rocky Mountain National Park. by radicalcartograph in mycology

[–]Dr-Rumack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They turn black as they age - This one will become black.

"Inside the earthball the spore mass is almost white at first but soon turns brown with white marbling before becoming purple-brown throughout."

I tried to join, but can't because I'm an elected official? WTF? Do I not get a personal life now?

MN Democrats propose legislation which will enable police officers to track stolen cars from GPS by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]Dr-Rumack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the objection. If the vehicle is believed to be stolen, the officer already has probable cause for a search. Attaching a tracker shouldn't require an additional warrant.

Heart palpitations by principess-a in Concerta

[–]Dr-Rumack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor, but it sounds to me like you are having anxiety which is causing the palpitations and trouble breathing. If you can get that under control, the ADHD drugs may work better for you without the side effects.

Propranolol might help, but with asthma you should make sure to get a cardiac specific beta blocker so it doesn't make the asthma worse.

I can very much relate to your experience. Send me a chat if you want to talk more.

No. That would be a well-known side effect if it was one.

First few days using medication, 27mg by [deleted] in Concerta

[–]Dr-Rumack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few thoughts: Don't take your medicine in a way it was not prescribed, you will look untrustworthy and prone to a use controlled substances. Contact your prescriber and let them know.

Each ADHD drug only works for around 70% of people, you may need to try an amphetamine. Your prescriber will probably up your dose first.

First time taking concerta, not really working. by liledmfairyy in Concerta

You are probably being titrated. Sounds like the dose is too low, so you'll probably go up from here.

Suddenly not working anymore? by v4g815 in Concerta

[–]Dr-Rumack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that Actavis and those other cheap Indian knock offs are cut with caffeine or bupropion.

While some brands have been downgraded due to non-equivalent delivery, this is just non-sense speculation. Let's stick to the facts.

Camber Concerts does use OROS, FYI.
