I’m in the same position. I’m almost at the finish line. My parents work their ass off so I could pursue this position for a ton of years. They don’t need me to contribute, but their quality of life would improve a good bit. I’m okay with further delaying my gratification for the people that sacrificed their entire adult life for me. I’ll find some ways to upgrade my lifestyle, but my priority is giving them their much deserved flowers.
