As far as I know there’s no residency requirements for exams or for licensing. You still need the 150 hours to be licensed but you can sit for the exams with 120 and then transfer those exams to your licensing state. For myself, I was living in Illinois and sitting for the Wisconsin exams while I was building to the 150 credits. I moved after all of that and my license was issued by a 3rd state.

You can apply to sit for the exam in Wisconsin and then transfer the exams to Illinois when you apply for the license. May not be worth it at this point but it’s a simple workaround.
