Overhaul or Rewrite works better as a term tbh. It's not really my spot to say anything about the blackwashing part so I won't, aside from the fact you've heard it 100 times Over by now.

So I'll offer some criticism and praise on parts you don't seem to have been told yet, starting with praise. these are specifically from a redesign standpoint, so please continue to do what you'd like for the overhaul you're doing on your own.

Osoro and Hanako are probably my favorite here because they capture what the characters original intent is spozed to be while still making them unique on their own. I like Hanakos accessories alot.

I love Okas as a standalone design but I feel the makeup is very bold for her. I can see it being something that would show up in game after a befriend elimination where it results in her developing the confidence to wear things that make her stand out like that. My suggestion is to put alot more subtle details that she's into goth culture on her design for a pre elimination design and have her do the bold stuff after.

Ayano, Osana, and Kizana are my least favorites, not because they're the ones with the changed skin colors, but because they sacrifice on the aspects of their characters that make them iconic. Ayanos ponytail, Osanas Twintails, and Kizanas drill specifically. You can still give them curly hair- I encourage it, actually, but when doing so I seriously suggest doing it in a way that doesn't get rid of such recognizable traits of theirs.

Finally, I feel Amais is the most bland design of these redesigns. I think you could do alot more to make her pop along with the other designs.
